Next to this, you can replay the musical excerpts and, for each of them, read a discussion of the instruments, rhythms, and musical techniques that make them so powerful. Even though our library copies have been read over and over by many children and in many homes, they still look new.As previously reviewed by others, the pictures are really beautiful, the stories to illustrate the songs (2 for each season) are educational, but the buttons are a bit difficult to press for my two-year old granddaughter but no trouble for the four year-old. But I am sure she will be loving the tranquility of the music and the feel of the massive, but airy light hardback at bedtime (fingers crossed). My daughter has loved these books since she was around 2 years old and now 4 it is so lovely to see her trying to consider which instrument is playing. But i must admit that I was annoyed by the brief, tinny clips played repeatedly throughout the day as my children joyfully pressed the buttons over and over.
