About this deal

Getting the music to play by pressing through the pages can be difficult; it may be easier to flip to the back to press the button. I would like to own all the books from this author as a classical music lover, I love my children to learn about classical music. He did think it was cool when the swans turned into people and he liked the evil wizard Rothbart being an owl. With delightful and colorful illustrations on each page and clear recorded snippets from the piece, your children will enjoy this sensory reading experience! Each of their stops has a built in sound button that plays a quick burst of classical music, and I KNOW that tiny humans love listening to a musical book.

Discover what it would be like to travel through the four seasons in one day in this musical story based on the classica. I have a classical music background and I have worked very hard to stay away from the Cocomelon-baby shark music of our era.

Introduce little ones to the magic of classical music with this reimagining of one of legendary composer Prokofiev’s mos. Has the same problematic definition of "ballet" as in The Story Orchestra: The Sleeping Beauty: Press the note to hear Tchaikovsky's music. Readers should press firmly on the pages to activate the sounds, encouraging interactive learning and introducing children to this beautiful piece of music .

At the back of the book, find a short biography of the composer, Camille Saint-Saëns, with details about his composition of Carnival of the Animals. And be sure to check out my bio page to learn a little about me and the Picture Book/Chapter Book Calendars I sell on Etsy! The Story Orchestra series brings classical music to life for children through gorgeously illustrated retellings of classic ballet stories paired with 10-second sound clips of orchestras playing from their musical scores. As a sign of the changing seasons, Isabelle carries a little apple tree with her, and we see it bud, blossom and lose its leaves. As you and your little one journey through the magical scenes, you will press the buttons to hear 10 excerpts from the suite’s music. I am an elementary music teacher and I did an entire unit at the beginning of the year inspired by this book.

This book was donated by the publisher for my Stags Read project and will be given to a student in my community. Next to this, you can replay the musical excerpts and, for each of them, read a discussion of the instruments, rhythms, and musical techniques that make them so powerful. Even though our library copies have been read over and over by many children and in many homes, they still look new.As previously reviewed by others, the pictures are really beautiful, the stories to illustrate the songs (2 for each season) are educational, but the buttons are a bit difficult to press for my two-year old granddaughter but no trouble for the four year-old. But I am sure she will be loving the tranquility of the music and the feel of the massive, but airy light hardback at bedtime (fingers crossed). My daughter has loved these books since she was around 2 years old and now 4 it is so lovely to see her trying to consider which instrument is playing. But i must admit that I was annoyed by the brief, tinny clips played repeatedly throughout the day as my children joyfully pressed the buttons over and over. At the back of the book, find a short biography of the composer , Antonio Vivaldi, with details about his composition of The Four Seasons .
