About this deal

This is the first novel from Sarah Turner, famous for her Unmumsy Mum blog and books, and I couldnt put it down! From love interest Jory (who you can’t help falling in love with) to dear friend Arthur (the bow tie scene squeezed my heart), Turner has cleverly blended the every day with the extraordinary, and sadness with joy to make an uplifting and tender read. Without going into too much, the tragic event was dealt with so brilliantly, it really showed the feelings across all characters in a sensitive and realistic way. Dennis Rainiey gave lots of solid advice, but there was not a lot of verses and Biblical application. Rainey talks about stepping up in each season of manhood- boyhood, adolescence, manhood, mentor and patriarch.

It had some jewels of wisdom and the over all message of "step up and so something you won't regret it is a good one". Also, a great reminder that I need to step up and gain courage to defeat the giants that have been hindering my walk with God. Emmy, Beth's sister and her husband Doug have been in a tragic car accident and it's time for Beth to step up.
