About this deal

The Phantom Gray color is only on the Galaxy S21, and it's a dark shade of gray that is almost black. All Galaxy S21 models have support for at least sub-6Ghz 5G (that’s the only one available in the UK so don’t worry about mmWave support) and you don’t need to pay extra for the 5G version as you did last year.

If you are looking at the Galaxy S21 Ultra, your choices are even more limited with either Phantom Black or Phantom Silver. If you want the best Samsung camera phone possible, then you’ll need to invest in the significantly more expensive Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

There’s 15w wireless charging too if you have a compatible Qi plug and far slower reverse charging for juicing up a smartwatch or earbuds.

Enable the dedicated Night Mode and pictures have even more brightness, though with a little too much-added sharpness for my taste. Samsung has switched from a full glass rear on the Galaxy S20 – a design that wasn’t too exciting in the flesh – to a ‘Glasstic’ rear that comes with a matte finish and incorporates a new camera block design. Well according to Samsung it's Phantom Gray, but if you're looking for a black Galaxy S21, it's really the choice for you (though the S21 Plus and Ultra come in an even blacker shade).inch screen may look large on paper, but the phone itself is notably smaller than a lot of its Android competition. Like Apple’s A14, they’re both built on a highly efficient 5nm process which to non-techies is a key reason why it offers improved battery life compared to the S20. If you want a device that does absolutely everything and/or you're a power user, look no further than the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It also powers clever camera tricks, like being able to view live video from all the cameras at once and recording 4K60 footage from different sensors simultaneously. But, with the pandemic continuing to have an impact across the globe, it looks like this year might be quite different in general. The second is that the company is also putting a bigger focus on its Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra– and unlike the Galaxy S20 Ultra in 2020, it’s a handset we’d readily recommend to those who are desperate to try the company’s latest innovations, and happy to pay for them. Max is the Editor of Trusted Reviews, and has been a mobile phone and technology specialist for over nine years. The Samsung S21 was officially unveiled on January 14, 2021 which was the earliest in a year we've seen the company introduce its new smartphone technology. If you’ve got a Galaxy S20 you’re unlikely to see any major improvement to your photography, but those coming from the Galaxy S10 and before will see big improvements. inch display, but it offers a 120Hz refresh rate for super-smooth scrolling and graphics, plusfantastic colors, and strong brightness levels – and we didn’t notice the lower resolution in most of our testing. If you already own a Samsung Galaxy S20, or if you can find that handset for a significant discount, you won’t want to opt for the Galaxy S21 – while the newer phone gains in some areas it loses in others, and overall there’s not much between the two phones – certainly not enough to justify paying a couple of hundred dollars or pounds more.
