Ok that's a solution but why doesn't kampa have an integral battery in the pump knowing you have to have a direct 12v feed to power it? I am not familiar the Trinus but have the Gale pump which comes with about six different types of connector which seems to cater for most options. We have the Vango Varkala and I can inflate it in less time than it would take me to get an electric pump out of the boot and plug the thing in.I have both manual and electric pumps and nowadays always use the electric one, but it probably takes longer, even for a small awning, and is noisy. If for any reason we are unable to honour this commitment then we will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible. once I had found out that some idiot had tried to inflate it with one of the release valves open, doh!

As has been said remember to plug the pump in before running the awning round the rail else it’s a bit of a struggle and fight to get to the socket. I would very much doubt they would have replaced it with the Gale until they were satisfied the Gale was a much better piece of kit. As the 12V outlet in the van is restricted to 4A and will obviously draw power from the van battery, I always use the car socket and keep the engine running whilst it's pumping. My thoughts are though, shouldn't the manufacturers pump (who designed the awning ) be the better product or a least DO the job on a par with yours?I managed to "redesign" the Sevylor fitting on the high pressure hose and it fits snugly into the inflation socket on the awning so I can just let it do it's thing. When we bought our awning we asked about an electric pump the dealer said get one if you want but you won't need it. Ok by all means use them if you can't manage a manual pump but if you are so unfit should you really be dragging about a heavy air awning!
