Master of Reality is the third studio album by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in July 1971, by Vertigo Records. But the 7 other albums had diversity, MoR just plods along, each song riding one or two riffs through their entirety. MoR,from the opening cough and crushing heaviness of Sweet Leaf,had me instantly addicted to Sabbath. You'd think that it would get boring but Black Sabbath always keeps it fresh and entertaining on this album. The combination of light strings and low tunings made for a doom-laden guitar tone that instantly set Sabbath apart from the pack of blues-based English hard rock bands.One half of people are still definitely afraid of Black Sabbath and the music they ended up very rightfully burying into the ground. Certain followers (ahem) of certain religions (ahem) do tend to be quite literal-minded and unable to understand metaphor or abstract thought.
