Some of our fryers had up to nine pre-set programmes for popular foods like chips and, bizarrely, shrimps. Most utensils are heatproof, with some pieces, such as spatulas and tongs, withstanding higher heat than their regular counterparts. We also liked this one for its striking colour and the long handles, which help to lift the liner from the drawer. With the liner, the chips took a couple of minutes longer than without, but the result was the same for both, with golden, crisp chips with a deliciously soft middle. Our chips were a pale golden colour after 25 mins at 190C (using the 'fries' preset), and had a fluffy middle and crisp, well-sealed exterior. As for what you can cook with them, air-fryer chicken breasts, halloumi, doughnuts, buffalo cauliflower wings and, of course, air fried chips can all be made using air crisp functions. We also liked the sleek black design, though is boxy shape means it's best suited to those with deeper countertops.And you can see it all through a giant window so don’t have to lose heat by opening the lid to check on progress. Although we struggled to find any real need for the app (setting the air-fryer to go takes very little time), it is useful to be able to check how much time is left from afar and for the bank of Cosori recipes it houses. For smaller quantities and specific ingredients, air-fryers will be switched on for considerably less time, which equates to less electricity consumption.
