About this deal
Like most of the other inflators, it comes with three attachments so that you can inflate footballs, bouncy castles and whatever else your heart desires. Well, the idea of the Ring Smart Tyre Inflator is incredibly handy, one tyre inflator that stores the pressures of each vehicle, so all you have to do is connect it, and press go—a hassle-free way to keep on top of your pressures. Rechargeable tyre inflators can be extremely useful when on the move, as they're completely portable and can be used anywhere.
Its colour scheme also has practical benefits, with bright yellow buttons that are easy to see in the dark. The inflator is easy to use, thanks to the flat design, large on/off button and valve cap storage. The deflation valve allows you to make small reductions in pressure. From everyone’s favourite tyre maker/world renowned reviewer of restaurants is this, the Michelin Programmable Superfast 4x4/SUV Tyre Inflator, and you can tell from the get-go that it means business — it looks less than a tyre inflator than it does something from Star Trek. Or a really fancy spirit level. Comes with handy storage case and extra accessories: 1x spare fuse; 4x spare valve caps and 1 x pair of gloves I was gifted this automatic tyre inflator from RING Automotive– a company specializing in this type of product – in exchange for publishing an honest review. So here are my thoughts about it.On the left-hand side is a storage gap for the inflation tube and connector, and on the underside is the 3.5m 12V power cable that is on a reel for easy tidy away.
Extra long 70cm air hose with easy access storage compartment specifically designed to reduce kinks As it stands though I’m more likely to reach for my more convenient battery-powered pump when it comes to squeezing a few extra PSI into my tyres. You get the option to insert the pressures and info when you first add a vehicle, but the chances are you won’t necessarily be in front of your car while you’re doing this bit.
If you prefer, you can change from the default PSI to Bars or kPA by pressing down the dial (see below). This will cycle through the pressure measurement options available. Before this one we owned the RAC630 which has been a great servant over the years, and I fully expect this one to live up to expectations too. Would I recommend it? Yes. I don't think we've ever had a Ring Automotive product that hasn't felt like a good quality product, this again feels like it will last. Once connected, the LCD screen indicated the PSI on my Citroen C1’s front right tyre in a matter of seconds. Target adjustment was another painless process as only the middle dial needed to be turned for me to reach my desired PSI target. Like the Ring RTC1000, its designers have also thought of where to store your valve caps when you’re inflating, and have included a little stand. It comes with a range of accessories, including adaptors for bicycle tyres, balls and other inflatables, and even a set of plastic gloves for keeping your hands clean. There are also some spare valve dust caps and a spare fuse. These are all useful, thoughtful additions, though it would be nice if there was a compartment somewhere within the device in which to keep them. This is definitely a top-of-the-range item, but if you’re the sort of person who regularly uses an air compressor then the RTC1000 is well worth a look. Although, if you're looking for something cheaper, the RTC200 is another of Ring's inflators in the new range - but it sits at less of a premium price. Many new cars come equipped with their own tyre inflators, which is a surefire sign it's worth getting one. As mentioned before, driving on under-inflated tyres mean that there is more friction between the tyre and the road.
