About this deal

In Outfoxed!, a 2-4 player co-operative whodunit game, players are searching for clues and revealing suspects in the mystery of who stole Mrs Plumpert’s prized pot pie. No less than 16 suspicious looking foxes were seen in the vicinity of the crime and it’s up to us to find the guilty party before he, or she, escapes down the foxhole. As players gather evidence, piece things together and eliminate suspects, they will be using their critical and deductive skills, which makes Outfoxed an interesting option for those looking to hone their children’s logical thinking. Young children who get bored by typical board games

Outfoxed is a bit unusual compared to similar reasoning-based games, being primarily aimed at kids rather than being intended for teens and adults but playable by younger children. They then roll the three included dice up to three times and need to get three matching icons to successfully attain their goal. While the creators of the game state that it can be played by kids 5+, we feel that it is really best suited for those 7 and up due to some elements that, in our opinion, can make it a bit challenging for the very young. Including 16 thief/suspect cards, 12 clue tokens, four detective hat pawns, a thief miniature, game board and a unique ‘clue decoder’ - Outfoxed! contains all you need to help find Mrs Plumpert's prized pie.

You have a strong suspicion of who is the guilty fox. In this case, name the suspect out loud and then reveal the Thief card from the decoder. Each turn players will choose whether to Look for Clues or Reveal Suspects. These decisions are represented by symbols on a set of custom dice. Eyes for Reveal Suspects, paws for Clues. The dice will be rolled up to three times and, if all three dice match the decision, players will take that action. Now, if said prized pot pie was left on the windowsill next to an open window…well, that’s just asking for trouble. Someone Stole My Pie! If you land in a space that contains a paw print, draw the top clue marker and place it in the Clue decoder. Then slide open the decoder and look whether the color ' showing through the hole on the marker is green or red.
