About this deal

you run, I catch 😈. Gahhhh! I looove this in books (and movies too). Lina can try running from Nash, but he’s gonna go after her. Two of the most pivotal moments in the book had Nash chasing Lina, and she could only submit 🤷🏻‍♀️. I mean. Nash is VERY convincing 💁🏻‍♀️. He can convince me any time 😉🔥👀 But two bullets put a dent in his Southern charm and now he's facing a criminal still on the loose and a town full of citizens that consider the law more of a 'guideline'. The last thing he needs is the leggy, smart-mouthed Lina Solavita moving in next door, making him feel things he doesn't have the energy to feel. Nash is, at heart, just an absolute sweetheart who's going through a tough time. I loved how he fell first and just went head over heels when it came to Lina. We do get a ton of all the side characters, which made me so happy because we get alllll setup for Lucian and Sloane's romance, which is coming next. I CANNOT WAIT! I know I'm going to be so sad when it's here and I'll have to let go of these town and characters. Score already had me panting for Lucian’s story after book one, but OMG do I absolutely need it after this one. I cannot wait! And it’s coming…September 5: Things We Left Behind! But two bullets put a dent in his Southern charm and now he’s facing a criminal still on the loose and a town full of citizens that consider the law more of a ‘guideline’. The last thing he needs is the leggy, smart-mouthed Lina Solavita moving in next door, making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.

You’re gonna open your mouth for me.” “Excuse me?” I was going for haughty but it came out breathy. He dipped his head, drawing me even closer. “And I’m gonna kiss you.” “You can’t just expect—” But the man did expect. And damned if I didn’t open my mouth the second his lips hit mine. Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his rear end . . . I really wasn't sure if I wanted to read this becuase the first one was so long - but then a new little romance book shop opened near my house.. I wanted to support them and buy a book, so I bought this. It ended up being MUCH better than I thought it would!! Tags: Small Town, Suspense, Mental Illness, Law Enforcement, Neighbors to Lovers, Best Friend’s Brotherthe bromance. Nash, Knox, and Lucian have already had this bromance going on for years, and now, we can add Nolan to the mix. I enjoyed the humor their interactions brought... and, well, the testosterone and fighting too 🤷🏻‍♀️ the secondary characters stole the spotlight for me. i really enjoyed seeing the Knox & Noami cameos and of course my babies Lucian and Sloane. all my highlights for this book are actually their scenes and september 5 can’t come sooner enough. Let’s just be honest before I get into the review. If you haven’t read Things We Never Got Over, then you need to read it before you read this one. There are a few loose ends in terms of plotlines you won’t understand unless you read the first book. Aside from that, you’re good to start this one upon finishing it.

i love a little bit of small town suspense and the plot twists had me on the edge of my seat. this is a slow burn but the tension leading up to it is hottttt and the spice once the burn starts burning was delish. I slapped a hand to his sweaty chest and gave a shove. He didn’t budge. Not even an inch. But his hand clamped over my wrist and then he was yanking me into him. He was a wall of heat and muscle and anger. My own fury melded with his and everything went molten inside me. “I hate how much I still want to be near you.” His voice was a low, angry rasp, like the bite of gravel on bare feet. The physical connection between them is incendiary, grounding him and making her wonder if exploring it is worth the risk. OMD- the h’s previous weekend fling comes into town. Nothing happens but the H is beside himself and jealous

This is one of my most anticipated reads of this year, I loved the first book soooo much and I couldn't wait to get to Nash and Lina's story. It did not disappoint and if I am being totally honest, I loved it even more then the first book! This book is nonstop entertainment. I was either swooning, laughing, or fanning my face the entire book.!

You have a date?” Naomi shouted the question loud enough that all the men turned and stared at us. Lucian looked like he was about to set the world on fire with his dark smolder. Whenever you’re close, everything is better. The closer you are, the easier I breathe, the less I feel like life is just a never-ending pour of lemon juice into an open wound that won’t heal. You take away the dark, the cold. And you remind me what it’s like to want to be here.” I’m so excited to see that we are getting a Lucian and Sloane book next! I’ve been hoping we would get their story and enemies to lovers is my jam. It comes out later this year so no long wait! Yay! Also, I got to meet Lucy Score at my local book store (Joseph Beth-Cincinnati) which was amazing so here’s a fun picture :)

It was a feeling. Some kind of magic. A rightness, I guess. It definitely didn’t make any logical sense. On paper we couldn’t be more ill-suited to each other. But there was something so right about how it felt to be with him.” why are both brothers obsessed with dogs its just so BORING like just gimme the dog pov at this point it’s probably more interesting than nash. give them different things to love idk 😭 and its the way we get sm detail about their dogs too. i honestly dont care. babe lets switch it up a bit! my man lucian better be different. maybe he’ll have a parrot or something idk. We stared each other down, willing the other to break first. These were the kinds of social situation I excelled in. Making small talk about girly things? Nope. But going head-to-head with a cagey man when there was important information on the line? This was my Olympics and I was a goddamn gold medalist.” of 5 stars 2 of 5 stars 3 of 5 stars 4 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars Things We Hide from the Light by Lucy Score
