They feel "cheap", as in lightweight and plasticy. But, I actually don't mind this at all, so don't think of it as an insult. I just wanted to mention that because I feel someone will equate that with not “feeling premium”.

Do note that unit variation may potentially be a thing here, some reviewers have gotten units that have quite a bit more treble than what I listened to.) At just 9.2 oz (260 g), these are fairly light thanks to their mostly plastic construction. That low weight, in addition to their velur padding, should make them comfortable to wear for extended periods, but that’s not always the case. Problematically, these headphones have a relatively strong clamping force somewhere in the woods of 6.0 N ± 1 N. In layman’s terms, that’s like having 1lb weights pushing against your skull. For our testing, we tried two amps: a traditional desktop DAC/amp from Creative and a portable DAC/amp from THX called the THX Onyx. Both have the signal output to drive these headphones given their high sensitivity, but it should be feasible to drive them from some phones and portable audio players without an additional piece of hardware. Table of Contents Introduction Sennheiser has been busy with the gaming market, comprising of eleven models split between the GSP and Like for tonality, here is my personal hierarchy for the technical performance of Sennheiser’s headphones:Detail and resolution: decent. A hefty improvement from the HD599 but not quite to the level of the HD6X0. Most people would be satisfied with this level of resolving ability. More importantly: in addition to critical listening for fun and relaxation, I use these every day for work as a composer/sound designer. I need a fairly neutral, accurate sound with very high attention to detail and precise imaging. I originally didn't notice because in music I couldn't tell the difference. I still can't. I don't think I listen for that kind of stuff, and my music probably doesn't take advantage of positional audio enough anyway. The difference was only noticeable in competitive shooters, specifically Apex Legends. Instead of coming with a normal carrying case or pouch, it comes with this this big box which I hate. It's not travel friendly ONE BIT, it has a cutout to place the headphones in which isn't even fully snug or designed well, and the box is prone to getting easily dirty and its hard to clean or the material comes off. I'm going to sell my pair and the box already looks a bit like hell, and I've barely done anything to it. Why? Just why?

All the parts are of good quality, but if you use the headphone for a long time, you might need to change or replace many parts. As the drivers might start creating distortion and rumbling sound, or the headset might become loose. But the good thing is you can replace those parts without any hassle. Sound Quality Initial impressions, measurements, and non-audio opinions of this month’s flavour: Geek Wold’s GK10.The cable length has also been shortened from a studio-friendly 10 feet to a tighter 6 feet. Total weight is 9.2 ounces, and these babies have some serious clamping force. That’s alleviated by the soft padding, making it easy to wear the 6XX for long listening sessions, although your hair will get appropriately disheveled by those mondo earpieces. Sound In all honesty, I wouldn’t be too mad if Sennheiser named this the HD620 or something. Assuming of course that they beef up the construction materials because while it’s almost HD6X0-tier sound, the build quality still screams “yes, I’m a HD500 headphone”. I’m quoting this as proof that your problem with me seems to be more personal than objective, else you wouldn’t have mentioned this irrelevant point at all.
