Last updated 1 January 2016 Severe acute overdosage may precipitate sodium overload (hypernatraemia or hyperosmolality) and possibly metabolic alkalosis. Symptoms may include restlessness, weakness, thirst, reduced salivation, dizziness, headache and possibly hypotension and tachycardia. Treatment would consist mainly of appropriate correction of fluid-electrolyte balance. Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health. Decrease your water intake during mealtime, as excessive amounts of water can dilute your stomach acid while eating. Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.ALWAYS READ THE LABEL AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR USE. WEAR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, HATS AND EYEWEAR WHEN EXPOSED TO THE SUN. PROLONGED SUN EXPOSURE SHOULD BE AVOIDED. FREQUENT USE AND RE-APPLICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH DIRECTIONS IS REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE SUN PROTECTION. It would be difficult to take an overdosage of the product either in the dry form or when mixed with water. Since the antacid combination acts locally in the stomach and the components are all dissolved, a consideration of their systemic bioavailability and pharmacokinetic behaviour is not appropriate to safety and efficacy considerations. Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).

Do not take ENO if you have any of the following conditions: High blood pressure, Liver, heart and kidney problems, Remember that Eno doesn't prevent acidity, it just provides relief for it. If your symptoms persist, ask your doctor about ways to prevent acidity for the best results.
