About this deal

Had no idea we were due for another UCS so early after the AT-AT, but I like the subject matter here. To me the single biggest factor that makes this a success is the new bubble windscreen, nothing else would have worked at this scale so this part was absolutely necessary. The modern color palette is at a good place to do justice on the paint job, and plenty of exposed studs for the authentic "LEGO" look. Such a nice model. It's not in the same league as the Millennium Falcon, Star Destroyer and AT-AT UCS sets, they are a class apart, but it fits in nicely with the A-Wing and Y-Wing of recent years. I certainly prefer it to the Gunship, which is the only UCS in the last 6 years I haven't bought. We are talking about 200 Euro for something that probably costs less than 30 Euro to produce and the Lego sells for "collectors", hence the UCS name." Thankfully, Lego has varied the construction of each a little, so each engine isn’t a complete replica of each other. This is perhaps the slowest part of the build, but aside from the stand they’re the last things to do. So, once you’re finished with them, you’ve got a fantastic finished model to admire. Lego Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder: Design

Lego Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder review | Space

To me it's a UCS spot that could have been used for a much more interesting vehicle. Those speeders are so common that every SW fan on the planet should have at least a handful by now. Plus, where did all the pieces go? Is the interior filled with 1x1 plates in all the colours of the rainbow? The set doesn't look like half the pieces imho. The Landspeeder technical data display plate and stand to create a hover effect make this Star Wars set perfect for home or office décor I honestly really like it and the promotional set is good enough that this will be a day 1 buy for me. I love the detail on this model (and that Threepio minifig!!!), but can’t help but feel the irony of this release. The novelty just isn’t there with a vehicle that Lego releases every other year in System-scale.

Luke's Landspeeder is one of the best (and most reasonably-priced) UCS Lego sets of recent years.

oh my word Lego is doing it again! Did anyone else notice that there was a UCS landspeeder that got 10,000 supporters on Lego Ideas and they declined it? now like 10 years later... boom. The rounded nose is built as a completely separate sub-assembly, and it’s where we first delve into some more complex building techniques, as the large quarter-circle slopes don’t come in matching top/bottom versions, so the bottom ones are flipped upside down. There’s also some very interesting techniques to hold the very tip of the nose in place which at first it seemed way over-engineered. But once the curved flex tubing is added later, it’s apparent that the extra strength this design provides is needed.

There are also a few minifig-scale playsets: 10188/ 75159 Death Star, 10236 Ewok Village, and 75098 Assault on Hoth.I may be miss remembering something but didn't lego just say c3po's legs weren't going to get that much better than the trash compactor one? This Star Wars collectible includes 2 iconic characters: Luke Skywalker with a lightsaber and electro-binoculars plus C-3PO LEGO minifigures Thanks to wonderfully clear instructions, every stage of building Luke’s Landspeeder is great fun. Despite being an 18+ set, the instruction book remains simple and concise, never instructing you to place too many pieces in one go. It means it’s really easy to follow and despite this being a huge model, we’re confident younger builders should be able to enjoy it with minimal supervision. Recently some clever guy invented some magic tech called "a printer" which can actually "print" stuff on curved pieces and believe it or not, those prints do not peel, fade, or look dirty. This buildable Star Wars vehicle measures over 4 in. (10 cm) high, 19 in. (49 cm) long and 11.5 in. (30 cm) wide.
