About this deal
Face-to-face exams for instrumentalists and singers with a focus on musical knowledge and understanding. A lot of this information can be found only but it is either too advanced or misses out on things. This wee book on the otherhand lays it all out. My only reservation is that the word Theory will always have esoteric connotations, and if the title could be something like 'How and Why Music Works' or 'Musicians' Friend' the whole volume would be user friendly from absolute beginning to end, and deserve six out of five. This book (Part 1), has helped me a lot with my music theory studies when I was a kid (I'm still using it now too). This book is for those who are taking the grade 1-5 of the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, UK) theory exams. I really highly recommend this book (including the Part 2, which is for higher grades) to anyone who is studying music or those who want to know more about Music Theory. May it be a student studying music in a University/Music Conservatory or to teachers out there.About Music Theory exams - ABRSM
Separate chapters on voices, string instruments, woodwind and brass instruments, percussions and keyboard instruments, and instruments in combination Twas a very addictive read, for the concepts were thoroughly explained and the text and notes were clearly printed. I honestly didn't think I would enjoy reading Music Theory (something I really disliked as a kid) so enjoyable! Eric Taylor did a marvellous job writing with as simple a structure built explaining such complex concepts!"Woodwind instrument Mouthpieces
At Heritage Music we sell Woodwind instrument straps and harnesses to suit all needs and for saxophone, clarinet and bassoon
Plastic Woodwind InstrumentsPlastic Woodwind Instruments have become widely used in Education, not least because they are cheaper than the real thing but because they are small and light and have a remarkable sound making them very acceptable teaching instruments – not to mention almost indestructible!
The Lyons C clarinet and latterly the Clarineo is used by thousands of students throughout the world. Recently joined by the Nuvo flute and jSax, plastic woodwind instruments are opening up avenues that otherwise wouldn’t have existed.
