About this deal

So this is the way I found to be easiest to disassemble the cords and reassemble them once you have them replaced. Doing this mod wasn’t about making the pitch and roll equal, nor was it about “fighting pitch”, or not knowing what trim does. Pop off the cap that covers the yoke mounting flange, remove the two screws, and put the yoke aside. Not all pots are created equal. Some will last many years. I've got a pro-grade radio audio board with pots that was made in the 70s and used daily at a radio station until the late 90s and the pots still work perfectly. Others, like the pot on the twist axis of my Thrustmaster, won't even make it 9 months. AFAIK Honeycomb is using quality pots (though probably not the quality you found on old professional broadcast equipment), but as long as a better option is close to market I'll wait.

Is there a way that I could code it "If the NAV LED (on the BTQ) or the LNAV LED (in the aircraft) is OFF, than turn the HDG LED ON (I will be in HDG SELECT Mode)????? Millions of gamers worldwide trust Turtle Beach to deliver game-changing peripherals and audio innovations. Now, Turtle Beach enters the simulation category with the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Developed by world-class aeronautical engineers and pilots, the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight is a complete, inclusive flight control system for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, offering intuitive and realistic controls to equip all players with the ability to experience the thrill of flight. Pre-set buttons are mixed bag. All seem to constantly fire their state so if mapped to a button that is repeatable I believe you would get constant inputs The issue is not the pot itself, its their microcontroller. The current alpha yoke has only 8-bit resolution (256 steps) on both pith and roll axes. That’s way too little for 2020 standard. unfortunately I didn't have the BBJ expansion while creating the profiles, so I cannot really comment on what might be causing this. Just to be sure: you are talking only the Alpha Yoke, not in conjunction with the Bravo Throttle right?

I use the NgxU 737 and all works, however if i try in the ngxu BBJ expansion i get the following errors: Mountable under or above desk. I've mine mounted on a 36 inch aluminum bar attached with knobs to the underside of my desk. Perfect height (almost). Pre-set buttons are mixed bag. All seem to constantly fire their state so if mapped to a button that is repeatable I believe you would get constant inputs. That being said they are labeled for binary functions already and work great for those in nearly every aircraft. I loaded and activated the 747 profiles and it seems to work in the B747-400 as well as the B747-8 expansion. The buttons work correctly, however the button LIGHTS do NOT. I can't seem to find where and how the lights are programmed for a particular push button.

The gear selector works, the axis work, the buttons on the yoke work, but the buttons on the yoke base and buttons/knobs on the Bravo do not work. I am having problems I have followed your instructions but nothing. I don't even have the Honeycomb under Addon's any suggestion why that is

You should be able to adapt your button changes to the LEDs using the LED mode of the ConfigTool by swapping the variables. Cost, I'd imagine. There's nothing inherently wrong with pots except that they rely on a direct electrical connection between the moving part and the stationary part. Eventually that will get dirty or worn, and that's when you start to get jitter in the control. Hall effect is a proximity sensor so it's a lot harder to wear them out. There is a problem with the AutoPilot, where the NAV button activates the LOC button in the aircraft and REV button activates the LNAV button in the aircraft. I'll try to fix it, but might need some help.

ALPHA FLIGHT CONTROLS – Honeycomb Aeronautical

Bravo comes with enough levers for a twin piston or turboprop with throttle, condition and mixture levers for both powerplants. They would probably be the least expensive shop to hire for the job. Just don’t pressure them with a deadline, (give them a lot of time to do the job in). That way, they can do it between the normal machine setups that usually work with. Honeycomb Aeronautical had a pretty comprehensive set of announcements to make in this year’s FlightSimExpo. We’ve told you already about a similar announcement from Thrustmaster, with its first flight simulation yoke based on the Boeing 787 design, but Honeycomb is bringing a wider variety of new products that will surely please many fans of the hardware house. The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC is an advanced flight simulation system compatible with Xbox Series X|S consoles. The Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls XPC was designed and developed by pilots and aerospace engineers to provide the most realistic flight simulation experience possible. Made for simulation fans, flight students and pilots, the yoke brings aviation into the comfort of your own home. I went to the extreme. To avoid the unrealistic always-return-to-the-same-neutral-position of spring/bungee cord loaded yokes, I disconnected the pitch bungee altogether.

Keep the clamp on the new bungee loose, because you’ll need to center it. Once you get the carriage centered, tighten the clamp. And start re-assembling the Alpha. After a bit of wiggling, you should now have the pitch bungee free! This is what you’ll replace with a softer bungee. Take the bungee to the hardware store and try out some bungees that feel softer than the original. A little goes a long way here so don’t get something too weak. For players interested in piloting with keyboards, look no further than the Razer Turret for Xbox. The Razer Turret for Xbox includes Razer Mechanical Switches, featuring optimized actuation and reset points. Every command is executed with super-fast responsiveness and precision. It’s also paired with a built-in mouse and mat, sporting the acclaimed Razer 5G Advanced Optical Sensor delivering industry-leading speed and accuracy.
