between the junkmail and all the schoolwork from my kids our house always has an abundance of papers that don't need to be kept. The briquettes will burn fine if added to an existing fire, but they are a pain in the butt to keep lit without a good bed of coals to encourage them. So I am hoping to find an additive that will let them be used by themselves if necessary.
