About this deal

The harsh and chemical nature of these products means that they are also much more likely to have flammable properties and aren’t a sustainable, eco-friendly fit for the environment they’re applied in. They tend to be messier to work with, result in overspray in areas you don't want it (perhaps even on your own driveway or equipment etc.) and can sometimes require a lot more PPE and application tools and equipment if they are airborne or considered toxic or hazardous.

Now for the fun part, the lanoguard, I boiled up a large pan of water with the lanoguard in, and it went from a "gloopy" consistently to almost water, and using the hand of spray trigger gun provided it went on really well, but word of warning, you need a face mask and googles on to apply, it atomises very well when warm, I had a full face respirator on and I had to take a couple of breaks to wipe off the screen. It's 12 years old, and as expected, it already had areas of surface rust in places so I started by jet washing the whole underneath as best I could at our local industrial pressure washer on a day when the roads were dry. Marine Grade Lanolin – an environmentally friendly, natural, high performance lanolin lubricant, corrosion Inhibitor and anti-seize grease Only down side so far is it still faintly smells of sheep, but I'm told that does diminish over time.I think underseal stinks as a product and actually makes things worse. It should be banned and the company sued. One common query we get here at Lanoguard is "How does it compare to ____?". It can't be denied, there are an abundance of different rust proofing and waterproofing sprays, greases and lubricants out on the market. Some good, some bad, some low cost, some high cost. The key question is, how does Lanoguard fit in? What makes it stand out from the crowd? Dont waste your time with this stuff your just as well spraying any other type of wax/oil on your car as apart from easy application nothing else actually works. I’ve noticed lately that the lovely clean axles and running gear on my Series III is starting to show signs of rust. I had seen ads for Lanoguard, a simple spray on liquid that appears to preserve the metal bits and gets them looking tidy again. The bung in the top of the container needs to be pushed in securely (soon to be replaced with a screw top) to avoid spillage.

This is often applied to large areas and hence using the spray version works best. Your other option is heating the grease up to make it softer and then wiping it on as if washing the machinery. Please remember to wash off dirt first for best results BikesA little LanoShield goes a long way so we recommend using a small brush to coat all nuts and bolts, winch, etc. For the best finish simply wipe of any excess with a rag. Leaving any excess on will obviously not harm your trailer so wiping of any excess is matter of choice and not a requirement! Cars The lanoguard looks easy to apply with no washing guns etc and you don't have to do it all at once and easy to touch up but its twice the price of waxoyl. LanoShield is a natural, environmentally friendly product that provides long lasting corrosion protection and lubrication properties to an endless variety of marine, agricultural, automotive, commercial, industrial, electrical and many more uses.

Waterproof and great for protecting electrical fittings including circuit boards, switch panels etc. Versatility: Lanolin-based greases can be used on various metal surfaces, making them versatile for protecting different parts of a vehicle. They can be applied to areas prone to rust, such as undercarriages, chassis, wheel wells, hinges, and exposed metal components. Additionally, lanolin-based greases can be used in combination with other rust protection measures, such as coatings or films, to provide additional layers of defense against corrosion. Clean the chain, gears, nuts, bolts screws first and then apply the LanoShield. This will not only protect your bike but also enable you to wash it without the LanoShield coming off even if using a pressure washer to 3000PSI Other applications LanoShield is also available in larger volumes suitable for commercial use in 5Ltr, 20Ltr and 50Ltr sizes First let’s take a look at why Lanoguard works. It’s produced by us in the UK from a lanolin (wool-grease) base. Lanolin gives our products some unique properties which make them ideal for waterproofing (it’s got to keep the sheep dry after all!) and also allows them to work on already rusted/rusting surfaces without a prepared keyed surface.Jet wash resistant to 3000 psi or 200 bar (won't be displaced and will keep protecting after cleaning)

Firstly, lanolin has a natural affinity to ferrous (and many non-ferrous) metals. This means that it works its way to the base metal and bonds to it, including that underneath rust! – which is why, unlike many conventional products, Lanoguard can be sprayed onto surface rust with no issues and doesn't require a highly prepped and keyed up surface. The lanolin will be attracted to the metal underneath and slowly push off any existing rust. I power hose it and wire brush it first but if its heavily scaled I think the waxoyl doesn't penetrate into it. Self-Healing Properties: Lanolin-based greases have self-healing properties, which means that if the protective layer gets scratched or damaged, the grease can flow and fill in the gaps, resealing the surface and maintaining its protective function. This helps to ensure continuous protection against rust, even if there are minor abrasions or scratches on the metal surface. Something like a diff cover for example and you can't start chapping with a screwdriver or in around subframe were you cant get tools in properly. We became a supplier of LanoShield – an environmentally friendly, natural, high performance lanolin lubricant, corrosion Inhibitor and anti-seize grease that doesn’t wash off (requires in excess of 200 bar or 3000 psi) originally to add value to our trailer services but now use it for lots of marine jobs i.e. everything that needs water and rust protection including electrical connectors, axles, nuts and bolts, chain, propellers (stops marine growth) etc.In summary, I'm impressed, easy to apply, goes a very long way, just got to wait until over this winter to see how it goes.
