About this deal

We listed some of the main differences between a study Bible and a regular Bible earlier, but let’s dig into a few of those a little more and why they are super useful to have in your daily Bible studying time. The CSB She Reads Truth Bible is not for you if you don’t care about geographical context, illustrations or how different passages of the bible relate to each other or timeline of world events. The She Reads Truth Bible is filled with maps, charts and timelines to help bring your reading to life. For example, as I am reading the book of Exodus, I can refer to the root of the exodus map where I can get a visual representation of the Israelites journey from Egypt to Canaan.

Tara-Leigh Coble, host of the popular Bible Recap podcast, has put together a Bible study guide called “ The Bible Recap” that will help anyone that has ever read the Bible and then thought, “What did I just read?”Definitely take a look at the features we just talked about and decide what is most important when it comes to choosing the perfect women’s study Bible for you. Individual or Group Setting: Before getting started, you should first consider whether you’d like to conduct the Bible Study by yourself or if you’re looking to do this in a group setting. This is a personal choice with no right or wrong answer.

Key Features: Introductions for each Bible book, color maps of biblical lands, dictionary/concordance of key Bible names and terms Concordance– this lists certain words throughout different places in the Bible; for example, a list of verses where the word “love” is found Book studies, on the other hand, take readers through one specific book (or part of a book) of Scripture, drawing conclusions from each verse or passage. While these may or may not deal with one specific topic (so they can feel a bit scattered), these Bible studies do a great job of explaining the passages in their appropriate context. The most comprehensive study Bible ever prepared for women and by women, the CSB Study Bible for Women invites you to explore the riches of God’s Word. As you learn from these women extensively educated in Biblical studies and languages and passionate about God’s Word, you will be equipped in turn to mentor others in the truth and hope found in Scripture. In it, she shares 3 important qualities every women’s Bible study should have, especially if you are working through Bible studies for women’s small groups (her second point isn’t as crucial if you’re reading through your Bible study on your own).Designed to be completed only 5 days a week over the course of 6 weeks, this very doable daily Bible study will show you that He truly IS enough to meet all of our needs, even if we don’t have much time to spare! Tony Evans is another one of my favorite pastors to listen to and watch through his amazing ministry at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. This study Bible is unique because not only does it have thorough book introductions, study notes written by Tony Evans, color maps and detailed charts, but it also includes video devotionals that you can access on your phone by scanning the QR codes in the Bible. What a cool feature! Key Features: More than 300 overviews and articles, introductions to every book of the Bible, easy-to-follow and full-color design Study Bibles are special editions of the Bible written specifically for students of the Bible. Study Bibles provide scholarly information designed to give the reader context and a more complete understanding of God’s Word. Scholarly information can come in several forms, from annotations that explain complex passages, articles and biographies of key characters, illustrations and other visuals, and more. Let’s face it, the Bible is not meant to be read on a lazy Sunday afternoon for entertainment. The Bible is God’s Holy Word. It’s the main way that He speaks to us. And it’s the instructions for living a life close to our Heavenly Father. We need to have a solid relationship with God, so that we know how, through our lives, we can bring Him honor and glory.

We are building all our future ministry around the ESV. . . . The ESV satisfies the preaching, memorizing, studying, and reading needs of our church, from children to adults.”

Timelines are great because they give you an idea of what was happening in the history of the world when a certain book of the Bible was written. Many study Bibles include timelines because they give us a deeper understanding of the historical context of the book of the Bible.

Spiritual Needs: Sometimes, the Bible Study can help us find answers to specific needs or problems we may have. This could touch upon many topics like God’s forgiveness, faith, worry, stress, marriage, and more. For example, if you’re getting ready to read the book of Leviticus (which our family just did not too long ago), it is helpful to know who wrote the book, where it was written, the setting of the book, and the key people and places mentioned in the book. Knowing this information will help you gain a greater understanding of the entire Book of Leviticus in light of the Old Testament narrative. Timelines Contains personality profiles of over 100 key Bible figures give insight into who these figures are, and why they are important to God’s story. It also has more maps and charts than any other study Bible. What translation do you want? We prefer NIV or ESV as they are close to the original text and much easier to read through with our daughter. Detailed book introductions with author and setting information, outline, timeline of events, major themes, and often maps of key places Remember, a good study Bible is meant to supplement and enhance your understanding of God’s Word. Some good features to look for include a concordance, Scripture references, maps and timelines, and commentaries. Study Notes with helpful cultural, historical, and archeological details, word studies, theological connections, or real-life applications. Most study Bibles and even some kids’ Bibles have these features above, and they definitely help you study the Bible better! You can add any of these to your family Bible study baskets as well on your shelf. 🙂 How Do You Choose The Right Women’s Study Bible For You?
