Again the padding uses its own unique structure to provide the desired level of support and comfort, while again sharing the exact same carbon shell & rails as the standard Shortfit. And the more off-tarmac Allroad Supercomfort gets muted earthy Desert Sage green and light Ice Gray. Superlight full carbon fiber rails with oval section (9,8 mm x 7 mm) with PATENTED DNA (Dynamic Node Action) technology which prevents twisting and keeps the front of the saddle narrow for great pedalling freedom. It makes the Carbon fiber rails even stiffer and, give to the central geometry a longer section to ensure more extensive saddle adjustment. This Rails is used on Superleggera and Carbon FX saddles. An adaptor might be required with some seat posts.

IDmatch is a brand inside the Selle Italia & San Marco family, that also splits off independently for customized saddle fits, shoe fits, and complete bike fits. On top of the Foot Fit section that was already about getting the right sized shoe and cleat setup, now new IDmatch cycling-specific Footbed insoles offer customizable fit & support. printed cover with dedicated and proprietary pattern featuring differentiated cushioning zones that provide Made with a proprietary, 3D printed pattern, the Shortfit 2.0 3D Racing provides support on the toughest road rides,The insoles then offer 1 of three heights of support (1-3), but a surprisingly wide range of 7 arch lengths (XXS-XXL). It’s not about how long your foot is but how long your arch is, then the super thin forward portion of the insole is just trimmed to fit, matching whatever insole came out of your shoe to start with. It isn't really fair to compare this to non-3D printed saddles, though, and among its 3D printed brethren it's quite well priced, for the weight.

The very first time I got on the Specialized 3D printed saddle, I was in love. I wasn't necessarily in love with the shape but using 3D printing for the padding absolutely changes what is possible. The ability to vary the structure of the matrix very precisely allows a brand to tune softness vs stiffness in a way that's impossible with traditional foam. What you get, at least from Specialized, is a saddle that's much softer than you'd expect from a serious performance saddle. I’d probably prefer a 100% recyclable saddle, made with less embodied energy, and less of a harmful impact on the environment for a 100g weight penalty… road-specific saddle with Carbon DLS™ Technology is one of the most advanced on the market and is the perfect way toSo overall am I impressed by this saddle? Yes, very much so. It isn't the lightest, but the combination of comfort and power transfer is something I haven't really experienced before. This is an insanely expensive saddle and there is no getting around that, but if money's no object and you're looking for something eye-catching and comfortable then it is definitely worth trying. Verdict As we say with every saddle review on road.cc, comfort is subjective – what might be incredibly comfortable for me could be like torture for you – so it's always worth testing a few before making any purchasing decision.
