The one feature I personally dislike about the guitar is the inlays. I’m not a fan of the flag shaped inlays. In my opinion, they’re an eyesore, though it all boils down to preference. Nevertheless, if you are used to this feature and need to have it on every guitar you own, beware that this instrument doesn’t come with a factory preinstalled tremolo, and it’s also quite problematic to find a separately sold tremolo that would fit it. Are there any alternatives? ESP LTD M100FM The guitar weighs approximately 9.5 pounds which is a standard for a full-bodied electric instrument of this size. It feels sturdy, dense, and highly durable. In comparison with some other similar guitars (e.g. Gibson Les Paul), EC-1000 feels a bit slimmer in your hands. This probably also contributes to the great overall playability of this instrument. The look of the guitar is awesome , really , It's a single cut with a matte finish and amazing decals on it , can't have anything against that However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers.

If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered Others love them because of their high output and punchiness. They’re very good for fast rhythm chugs and Djent shenanigans. Personally, I wouldn’t use EMG’s for everything, but I do prefer them when I’m playing rhythm in heavier metal songs. ESP LTD EC-1000 is a beautiful, exceptionally equipped, and great sounding instrument that has a lot to offer not only to beginners and intermediate players but to advanced guitarists too. I probably mentioned already that EC-1000 is one of the most popular ESP models. What I didn’t say before is that there are a couple of versions you can find. Firstly, there are different options when it comes to the bridge. If you are looking for a metal machine with a heavy tone, EMGs and a proper modern Les Paul - look no further, this is the one. Over the years, the company expanded, and they soon started making their own versions of well-known models. In 1983, ESP started designing custom models since getting a custom Gibson or Fender was nearly impossible at the time. Aside from that, the playability of the EC-1000 is incredible. It’s every bit as good as a real ESP Eclipse guitar at half the price. Different ESP LTD EC-1000 Models The ESP Eclipse E-II is manufactured in ESP’s top of the line factory in Tokyo, Japan. This is where a lot of their custom shop guitars are made, so you can expect the very best build quality that ESP has to offer.

I really like that ESP LTD, although being promoted as the ‘more affordable’ subsidiary of its parent company, uses top-quality electronics and components on this guitar. Even though the price might seem too high, keep in mind that Les Paul can cost two or three times more, so this might be the best single-cut guitar you can find. At least when it comes to value.Even though the guitar looks like Les Paul, there are many differences between these two models. Firstly, the body of EC-1000 is a bit different, and it is quite comfortable to play even if you are sitting. Its EC-1000 is in fact a vague reedition of the famous ESP Eclipse line which provided us with some of the coolest looking (and best-sounding) instruments on the market. It’s also a lot lighter than a Les Paul, so you’ll be able to play long sessions, sitting or standing. This guitar has such a good deep clean tone, but when you get it dirty is when it really shines. I will say that the fender does edge it out when playing those clean blues tones, but this is no slouch. I've owned this guitar for about 10 years.... and I can honestly say that even though my strat is valued over a grand more, I'd grab this one in a fire.

One thing I will mention however is that access to the higher frets isn’t as great as it could be. This is in typical Les Paul fashion. The single cut shape doesn’t allow for your thumb to slide up far enough, so you’ll really need to reach for the higher frets. ESP LTD guitars usually boast exceptional durability and this instrument is no different. It’s made of solid dense tonewood and all the components feel very firm and reliable too.Guitar manufacturers will typically have their higher end affordable guitars made in Korea and their lower end budget guitars manufactured in Indonesia or China. The Japanese and American factories are a step above and typically reserved for top of the line guitars. Features As with ESP, the price is a bit higher, but you will get an incredible instrument if you decide to buy it. Summary Naturally, it makes sense to compare the two to see if the budget guitar can hold its own against the real deal. Factory For example, if you’re interested in playing blues, jazz, country, or pop, a Les Paul or a Stratocaster is much better at handling low gain tones. You can find an Epiphone Les Paul or a Mexican Stratocaster for cheaper, and they’ll get the job done. The Verdict Made of a solid mahogany body with a superb colour transition finish, the EC-1000 is a true spectacle of a guitar - but it doesn’t stop there. Playability is always at the forefront of ESP’s design books.
