It has a super lightweight formula and can be applied lightly to the face or layered to give full coverage. It is available in 24 shades and each is named via a number. Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is also an oil free foundation and is best suited to normal skin. The coverage is medium but it is easily build-able. I can apply one layer on my skin (blended with my trusted beauty blender) and I find it covers most of my skin flaws like redness and uneven skin tone. For places, where I do need heavier coverage like on my post-acne scars, I do need to build up another layer on that particular area with about half a pump and it does not look piled on or cakey.
