About this deal

I really like this, it's fresh yet fairly sophisticated , fairly soft and not harsh or too youthful. I'm a big fan of Prada's house. When this came out in 2015 I tested it on strip and dismissed it. I thought to myself "Daniela Andrier, why would you go in this direction?". It seemed incredibly basic and generic and to me it didn't have the clean DNA that the Amber and L'homme line had.

Initially, I wasn't too impressed by the performance of the fragrance, but believe me, you can become blind to the fragrance and it's still there. I get 7-8 hours in longevity. Not as The soapy lavender is subtly, sophisticated, and mature with a strong touch of masculinity. Great as a day scent, out of the shower because it's not overpowering in any way, and good for an office/work environment. You can wear this as an all-year rounder, but personally not in the summer. If so, go easy on the sprays.Longevity: 9/10 (After the initial two hours, it comes closer to the skin for another three hours. Stays a skin-scent for a good five more hours) Oh and another thing, if something is 'mass apealing' or a 'crowd pleaser' then may I suggest that is a good thing? It's mass appealing because it appeals to a lot of people...because it smells nice....and that's bad because........? To my nose it is Le Male to all the individual that posted here, but I prefer this to Le Male it has the Le Male DNA but is more sattle. Again Luna Sport has that love and hate relationship in the fragrance community. But to me I like the scent and is not unique, but is wearable on all occasions and seasons for me.

The strange thing is that even though I'm not totally in love with this, I find myself reaching for it more than just about anything else. It's just so pleasant and easy to wear that it's become my dumb-reach for the cooler weather, as the original is for the warmer weather. When it comes to age factor I believe this will be best suited for 26+ as its not that playful like Eros, AHSEE, etc. But age is just a number if you love it then who cares. Upon first blush, anyone who owns or likes JPG Le Male will have an “Aha” moment with this fragrance.

I could tell he was an over sprayer but I didnt mind cause this is a fresh masculine scent. I will get me a bottle once I run out of luna rossa cause it would be redundant for me to own both. They are too similar. I'm not pretending to understand all the notes or if they share similarities in that department but they simply smell nothing like each other...at all. In terms of performance I use 8 sprays and I would say projection is about 1-1.5 hours while longevity is no more than 6-7 hours.

Update review it hasn't changed from the last review I posted on 12/09/18, my nose still detect the lavender, vanilla and Tonka bean which dominates from start to finish. I used to have Le Male only for a few days but I gifted to my Pastor's son, so I missed the Le Male DNA scent and grab the Prada Luna Rossa Sport, to my nose is similar to Le Male but to me Prada Luna Rossa Sport is a tad better than Le Male just my two scent. Is still a good release from Prada and is a must have if you don't own Le Male. UPDATE: The more I wear this fragrance, the more I love it. The soapy Lavender is a work of art and I love wearing it after a shower at night. Prada produces the best soapy smelling fragrances on the market. I use to like it, now I love it. In Le Male the vanilla is very prominent, which makes the fragrance very sweet and more suited for the fall/winter. In PLRS the lavender is the main note to my nose. Luna Rossa Sport also smells very spicy, even though ginger is the only spice listed. Yes I can definitely get the Le Male from this, but not really that prominent since you can definitely use this during hot days but there has to be limitations on how many sprays and how hot the weather is. The magic is after 30 minutes of spraying this, by that time the mint is barely there and all I could smell is somewhat creamy very light vanilla that is not cloying, not so sweet tonka beans, powdery vibe and then faint wood. To put it simple, after 30 mins it still has the Le Male similarities, but I would say from 30% in the beginning to only about less than 10% after 30 mins on my skin. Now that’s all Prada LRS already after 30 min on my skin and comparing it 10% Le Male is not fair to Prada. Those things I mentioned after 30 min are all Prada LRS compliment getter. Recently I been into layering fragrances and I use this one as a vanilla base for other fragrances. Say example I hate the smell of Cool water Intense due to coconut smell as it reminds me of grocery shop so tried mixing these both in a decant and its was good. Now I get Cool Water with Vanilla and hint of lavender. ;)I dont own this, but I do own an older formulation of the original Luna Rossa. Ive only smelled this on another person, a complete stranger. Copier repairman actually had this on in our office and I could smell this wonderful, familiar scent filling one corner of our small office. Walked to the corridor to see a repair guy pleasantly smelling up the place. He has repaired our crappy copier many times and always wears this scent. as a man I had to casually ask him in my contrived macho voice what he was wearing. After revealing luna rossa sport I immediately drew the comparison to the original Luna Rossa but fresher, lighter, a slight twist, but just as aromatic. If I were to describe it to a friend in one sentence it would go as follows: It is a clean, sweet, powdery scent that is masculine enough. And at no point during this wearing has the fragrance smelled bad- from opening to dry down, the scent is perfectly pleasant.

LM comes across as a younger, louder clubbing fragrance, for the younger user but LR Sport to me is more mature and refined with lots to offer and nothing to prove. It has a smoothness and magnetism that will get others attention. Once it has completed its passage from beginning to end, the vanilla is intense. If you are not a fan of powdery vanilla, it might be a bit much. So Le Male is more of a sweet, smooth warm fragrance, where LRS is more a more soapy, spicy, masculin and grown up. The differences are huge. This gets compared to JPG Le Male and this is probably due to the notes. The scents however are very far apart. This comparison, together with the Reflection Man and Le Male comparison truly baffles me. People read something, instantly believe it and blabber it on, creating a myth. Fragrances should be tested side by side. They should not be judged by notes. All in all, it’s a compliment getter that can be worn in just about any season and most occasions. I would even wear it to the office, but with just a couple of sprays. It’s not offensive or cloying, but a little will go a long way in that type of environment. It’s got great staying power, as good as any. Disregard claims that it doesn’t last…must have gone “nose-blind”.I've always liked the smell of Le Male on others, but there was always something about it that kept me from wearing it, something sharp and green (maybe the mint, but it didn't seem like mint). So when I first smelled this I dismissed it as a copy and assumed that I wouldn't like it. Still each to his or her own I suppose and if you're spraying this on your body then your nose is the only nose that matters, unless you're only after compliments from others of course. Update- I own the entire Luna Rossa line now, and not only is this one my favorite, it’s in my top 5 favorite fragrances. I didn’t like the sweet vanilla-ish vibe at first, only because I was expecting something more fresh/citrus, being called “sport” and all. I’m reality, this scent IMO blends everything I LOVE about the Luna Rossa line and puts it all into one scent. I literally can spray this for any occasion, anytime, anywhere, it just works. All the other frags in my top 5 tend to have a very specific time and place for when they’re appropriate to wear, and this is easily the most versatile. It’s clean, crisp, but warm and cozy, and it’s just very uplifting and happy scent for me. Longevity is good, projection is good as well, it’s not loud and in your face but not subtle and disappearing either. Perfection!! When I tried it again a couple months ago I realized that it was more than just a copy. While it's similar, this one is smoother and more balanced, a little bit better suited to younger people. I'm completely comfortable wearing this day or night, though I probably won't be wearing it much in the summer.
