As you can see, there are plenty of natural and organic body butter on the market to choose from that are made with high-quality simple ingredients, but are still effective and nourishing from the skin. Using body butter is a great way to get an intense burst of moisturizing properties in hydration when your skin is extremely dry and irritated. If the pH of the body butter was over 5.5, you can follow this process but use 10g citric acid diluted in 90g water.

Shea butter is super nourishing, especially for those with dry skin, eczema, itchy skin, or such. However, it does have a heavier feel and it’s most prone to getting grainy. (See the troubleshooting section below for tips if you experience graininess.) The scent of raw shea butter can be overwhelming, so refined shea butter if most often used in body butters. Heavy oils are ones that take a longer time to sink into your skin. They might be nice for very dry skin types, but they’ll make your body butter feel heavier and soak into your skin more slowly. Whipped or not whipped, body conditioner is based on oils and oils alone. It is greasy and there’s only little you can do about it.

Mango butter is also especially nice for dry or damaged skin.

Today, we’re talking about body butters made only with oils and butters – nothing water based, so you won’t need to worry about adding preservatives. It’s MUCH easier to convert the weight to grams first. (Use Google search for this — just type in something like: 7 ounces to grams— and it will do the math for you!) As we know, most body butter and the conventional form and the organic form are scented. however, anytime you go the conventional route you were going to find fragrance or perfume in the ingredient list. Unless it is specifically specified as fragrance coming from extracts or essential oils, these fragrances are going to be synthetic and dangerous. Regular coconut oil (also called 76 degree coconut oil) will turn solid when chilled under 76 degrees F. It’s best used in soapmaking and cooking, though some like it in their skin care too. It soaks into your skin slowly, and tends to make body butter feel greasy or oily. It is important though to use a body butter that is made with wholesome ingredients that are safe for your body. Remember, anything you put on your body will be absorbed through your skin and can even make its way into your bloodstream, so making sure your body butter is safe and natural is just as important as how effective the product is.Organic body butters are made from natural ingredients that help nourish and hydrate the skin. They can be used on all types of skin including dry, oily or sensitive skin. They also contain antioxidants which help protect the skin from environmental damage. We swapped the sweet almond oil for fractionated coconut oil. Again, this helps the body butter feel lighter. Some citrus oils can be phototoxic, which means that they can cause burns if they're on your skin when it is exposed to sunlight. However, they can be used safely if you follow this advice: We make all our products ourselves at home in small batches for quality assurance and to ensure we get the same consistency all the time.
