About this deal

i really tried to like maya but she was just so annoying. and honestly, i can see why she’s unemployed because she is SO INFURIATINGLY STUPID??? the only reason her vlog was successful was because she had a supposedly famous brother and because noah (don’t forget his blue eyes) made guest appearances in her vlogs. i have nothing against vlogs, and i’ll admit that i enjoy watching vlogs because who doesn't want to know unnecessary details about someone's life but something about maya’s youtube channel was just so juvenile. i was surprised to see that this book was published in 2020 because she was still doing cringy shit like 'tequila talks' and the newlywed game on her channel (i don’t remember what the games were called but they were drinking games you'd only see single people who base their self-worth on their relationship status in low budget christmas movies playing). i thought we left that behind in 2016. There’s nothing in the world I’ll find more beautiful than her. Not the sun. Not the moon. Not even the entire galaxy compares to the light she radiates wherever she goes.” it just needed so much refinement. for real, someone needs to get Lauren Asher and editor. and if she already has one they need to be fired.

Found tons of additional descriptors in their dialogue which I felt like ruined the delivery. For example, “There’s a shit ton of smoke coming from the car, making it hard to breathe.” When read in context of the chapter, I feel like dropping that last part would have made it more charged, except it read as internal thoughts and not the descriptor dialogue it was meant for. As to why I subtracted .75 star? I don't know, I guess it was sort of predictable and I wish the banter and angst lasted longer. For example, Rowan is super insecure by the fact that he's a good artist so he hides that fact from Zahra. When Zahra needs to find someone to illustrate her ideas, Rowan gave Zahra the number of a guy he made up, Scott, and pretended to be him for a while, like at least a month. Knowing the genre well, Asher has a lot of fun with it, giving the audience exactly what they were hoping for with it. That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of unique surprises of its own, too, as she gives it her own spin with her own voice. The two central characters themselves feel very distinct as well, with the audience rooting for them both the whole way. The crew and I roll up to the front of the group, situating me in the P1 spot while testing my radio connection. I grin to myself beneath my helmet. Pole position will always be the most ideal for the whole Prix, and pride fills me that I claimed it. Have to start the year with a boom.

The Fine Print is about Rowan ‘Gyp board’ Kane and Zahra ‘😂’ Gulian and they work together at Disneyland for poor people, since Mr. Don't Care does pay his employees the minimum wages. The Prince of the United States of America Despite his arrogance, Noah Slade won my heart. He’s the good-looking, humorous, and gifted racer who has erected a steel barrier around his heart. Noah Slade is the prince of the F1 race. The dialogues are so typical. Expect to see sentences like- I let go of the breath I didn't realise I was holding in. Or How do I do that? You're a smart guy, figure it out. Like dude for once, give the man an idea on what to do. But yeah you get the gist. Noah is supposed to be 30, but he definitely reads as a 21-year-old frat boy. It was really hard for me to think of him as a 30-year-old man with the way he talked, specifically how he talked about women. That's where some of the cheesy lines and dialogue came in. The son of the famous F1 pilot, following his father’s footsteps. Now one of the world’s best wins a race after the race. But it does not come without competence and dedication, which includes competing with other drivers.

Basically, the main character Rowan is Walt Disney's grandson. He has 2 other brothers, Walt Disney dies but he leaves behind a letter, he won't let the boys take over the company and the park together it if they don't meet certain requirements he made on that letter. ainst the headrest while our cars spin out of control. The hit jerks me, my body aching in ways I didn’t think possible. Santiago cut in front of Liam at the last turn. Don’t underestimate him, he wants the win.” More chatter echoes through the radio.and hands down, Rowan and Ani’s interactions were the superior parts of this book. i will die on this hill!! Maya is literally portrayed as American, even though we have to believe she is Spanish. She went to an American school in Madrid, speaks with no accent whatsoever, and actually talks in miles instead of kilometers. But no, she is still Spanish: she loves sangria and paella and her mother knows they are her favourite things to eat. She has the fiesty personality, the tan. Things that make her look a bit more 'exotic', a bit different than the other girls. This was a cookie cutter romcom that fit every box, it was emotional, romantic, there's some miscommunication trope (twice to 3 times), sex after 60%, a little bit of a slow-burn and a happy ending. He has to face his most significant threat right now, but it is in his heart that his goal is to win the championship. It’s not easy being the son of an F1 great, and for Noah, it meant pressure and expectations rather than love and support.
