I'd be worried about keeping her in because horses with thrush tend to stand on their dung to "cool" the soreness and burn from thrush. If she was in 24/7 its swapping one problem for another. Red Horse is one of only 3 non feed/supplement products that we (Thunderbrook) sell, as we use most of the Red Horse products on our own herd. Field Paste is a firm favourite.” I had mine on a very similar diet to yours, all based on Top Spec products. They are now on various quantities of Fast Fibre, Micronised Linseed and Pro Hoof, with a bit of low-alpha chaff for bulk and have never looked better. It might be worth a look at the contents of Pro Hoof and having a think about that. You just need to be careful what you add to it, might not be necessary. Fantastic product and using currently on our heavy cob, you can almost feel my boy relax when it is applied.”

Love It!” It’s always best to trim cautiously at first as the hoof gets used to being ‘naked’ and strengthens up. Hoof-Stuff will be harder when cold and softer when warm, over time the honey in it may also crystalise hardening it. Putting it somewhere warm for a long period of time will help soften it again.

Honey makes fantastic base for this product increasing its healing and antimicrobial powers and aiding adhesion into the hole! It is driving me mad now, I want to gone by the time winter sets in if possible as it will be even more difficult to get rid of it then!

I have four barefooted horses and Hoof-Stuff is a main everyday item that we use too fill in any small or large crevices in the hoof, it stays put through any weather, mud, stones sand etc. The hoof grows out with no problems. Your product is the best I’ve come across recommended to all bare footers out there.???????? All mine have great soles and frogs since using it, definately be buying more I was also surprised how far it goes.”These marks may have pushed the trimmer to take the walls right low, to relieve the pressure in the outer quarter walls. The risk of this is making the horse walk on sole and frog, which if weak, by thrush, usually - the horse is sore. Amazing stuff, I’ve been using it on my horse’s feet for years, since he went barefoot. He is a thin soled, flat footed TB and has fairly weak soles, but this paste is brilliant, it has helped to harden his soles and is really great to use if he gets a small hole or a bit of hoof splits off, as it has great antibacterial properties.
