About this deal

Some safety features, which prevent accidental starting by an operator or a child, need interaction, to deactivate them. But the EasiStore also has many passive features that make operating this mower that much safer for all. The EasiStore range does not have a mulching blade, and neither does it have a mulching plug. Mulching is good if you worry about binning the grass clippings, or local town management has made it costly to do so. If you are looking for a mower that mulches, please see my link of best Mulching Mowers below – LINK HERE TO MULCHING MOWERS. The 300R comes with a 30-litre grass box that will suffice for a well-kept lawn of 250m². The 340R has a 35-litre box allowing you to keep going for up to 300m² before you need to empty it. And the 380R 45-litre box gives you enough space to collect the grass clippings from a 375m² lawn.

With a large collection box of 35L and a full box indicator, you can spend more time mowing and less time emptying clippings. You can wrap the excess power cable around the cable hanger to prevent twisting or getting caught up in the blade if you happen to run over it.Key specs – Size: 60 x 39.5 x 28cm (HWD); Weight: 6.8kg; Height of cut: 2-6cm; Grass box capacity: 31l; Power: 1,200W electric motor; Cable length: 12m; Width of cut: 32cm Perfect for small to medium size gardens and powered by 2 x 18V (2.6 Ah) Power4All batteries to give 36V performance, which can be shared across a wide range of tools within the Power4All Alliance For greater flexibility and control the twin lever handles allow you to operate the machine with either hand comfortably Comfort is key, which is why the EasiStore 340R is equipped with dual lever handles. These handles provide a comfortable grip and ensure optimal control and manoeuvrability, allowing you to effortlessly navigate your garden while maintaining a pristine lawn.

The clever vertical storage position means it takes up less floor space keeping your shed neat and tidy, or you can simply fold the handles down flat to store away neatly. The throttle controls are a curved plastic. This simple throttle makes operating the machine more comfortable for both right and left-handed users. The Flymo EasiStore 340R (and the smaller Flymo EasiStore 300R) are both powered by 2 x 20V c-link lithium-ion batteries which are known for their longevity and reliability. These c-link batteries can be used in the c-link range of interchangeable Flymo garden tools. They charge in 180 minutes, but you will be pleased to know that this mower comes supplied with a dual charger, so you won’t be left waiting around when it’s time to get out in the garden and tidy up that lawn. What really stood out for me was the long power cable. A lot of people are put off the idea of buying a corded mower because they worry that it’ll limit their reach. Short of using an extension cable, a lot of mowers won’t get to every corner of your garden. However, since the Flymo EasiMow 340R is fitted with a standard 10 metre power cable you’ll be able to reach more of your garden.A close edge cutting system allows a neat cut right up to edges of the lawn or flowerbeds, reducing the need for trimming afterwards; and a rear roller provides a beautiful striped finish to your lawn meaning its always looking its best. What’s more, you get a decent choice of cutting heights, from 1.5 to 4.3cm, and with a 38cm cutting width it won’t take too long to get your lawn done. With a flat lawn and a modicum of puff, you can also achieve great results. Get the sharp, five-bladed cylinder moving and you’ll be surprised how efficiently it cuts, and there’s even a rear roller for a striped effect. In fact, there’s a sort of genial pleasure in hearing the whir of the blades and watching the grass in the collector pile up. Manual mowers aren’t for everyone or every lawn, but they’re brilliant for day-to-day cutting in a smaller garden – and this one’s built to last. Being able to adjust the height of your mower is essential in keeping your lawn healthy. During the summer months, it pays to cut the lawn a little shorter whereas the colder weather will require a slightly longer cut. The large diameter rear wheels on the 340R and 380R make traversing uneven ground easier. And the larger wheels also cope better with the increase in weight as the grass box becomes full. Safety Features Flymo EasiStore mowers use modern brushless motors. Brushless are considered to be more efficient than the classic design of a brush motor. Brushless motors also tend to be less prone to burnout or fatigue.

Both the 340R and the 380R have central height adjustment levers with 5 height settings. But, the 300R has 3 settings, and you need to add or remove spacers to the blade each time you want to change the cutting height (for me this is a limitation and therefore I would opt for one of the larger models). Its close edge cutting system allows a neat cut right up to edges of the lawn or flowerbeds, reducing the need for trimming afterwards; and a rear roller provides a beautiful striped finish to your lawn meaning its always looking its best If you love the look of a striped lawn then the addition of the rear roller makes this a very viable option. What’s more, for anyone who needs something compact, easy to store and easy to carry will find this an absolute delight. If your shed isn’t the largest in the world then this space-saving machine is the perfect addition to your garden tool kit. Alternatives Options

Having the option of charging the next set of batteries while you are using the mower will open up more options for continued use. However, if you do think you may need extra batteries before you buy the mower, it might work out cheaper just to buy a bigger machine. How does it rate? For people who have not tried an electric lawn mower before and are perhaps moving over from petrol, they’re going to notice some serious differences. While it won’t have the same power as your old petrol model, it’s got enough features to impress and makes the switch much easier. When you see how efficiently it cuts and how easy it is to use, you’ll be glad you made the change. Conclusion With the Flymo EasiStore range, it is suitable for homeowners with the roller being a higher priority over the mulching function — and for this size of the mower, it is the choice you will have to make.

If you don’t want to mess around when cutting your lawn, then I would absolutely recommend giving the Flymo EasiMow 340R a try. Its convenience at its best, but doesn’t scrimp on features that allow you to create a neat and professional looking finish to your lawn. When it comes to recharging, the batteries, located under the plastic dome on the top of the mower, are straightforward enough to slot in and take out. The charging adapter also allows you to charge them both together, rather than having to charge one after the other. As I mentioned earlier, one of the most notable features of this lawn mower is the addition of the dual lever operation on the handles. This gives you much greater flexibility and makes moving the mower around the garden a lot less hard work. Manual push mowers can be great in a small garden, especially if it’s nice and flat. You don’t need to worry about charging or power sources, and a good model does a great job of the grass while being surprisingly easy to push. Where the idea falls down is if the lawn is rough or bumpy, where there’s a slope, or if you like to keep the grass long between cuts, as all these things make the job much, much harder. You really need to cut the grass regularly if you’re going to use a manual mower. What else should you look out for? Practicalities If there was ever a mower that was as practical as they come, this is it. I have touched on the dual lever handles that make operating this mower nothing short of a dream, but this is far from being the only feature that adds to the practical nature of this machine. There are two options for the EasiStore range. You can either get the electric corded version, which is available across the range of blade sizes, from 30 centimetres to 38 centimetres. Or the cordless versions, which applies to the smaller 300R and 340R models. There’s quite a lot to get excited about when you think about the handle on the Flymo EasiMow 340R. First and foremost, it features dual lever controls so it can be operated with both the left and right hands independently. The Flymo EasiStore 340R sits on four plastic wheels that make pushing it along a breeze. They may be just as compact as the rest of this nifty little mower but they also have just as much power and go! Height Adjustment The weight of the machine makes it more manageable for less-firm individuals. And the roller adds to the stability when using the EasiStore. And the fact that the EasiStore is its own storage unit means that there is no need to lift it off the ground to reduce the amount of storage space it takes up.
