About this deal

For basic tasks, the standard suction mode provides enough power to remove loose dirt and debris. But we did need to switch to “Max” mode for stubborn dirt or hair, which reduces battery run-time to around 6-minutes. This is still enough for spot cleaning, but not much more than that. Although it’s no shorter than the V15, the collection bin is smaller at 350ml, and it doesn’t contain as many of Dyson’s cyclones, reducing the overall suction power to 150AW. Don’t let that put you off, though, because there’s still enough power here to perform a fantastic cleaning job, albeit in a smaller unit that doesn’t take up as much room, so is easier to store. It’s also a good deal cheaper than the V15.

We found that collection of tools, including a pet turbo tool, dusting brush, smaller nozzle, and crevice tool made the V7 Trigger much more versatile than many of its competitors. green laser light that helps you spot where your hard floor is dirty; and the anti-tangle brush bar floor head for carpet, which guides hair off the roller and into the collection bin before it can wrap itself around the roller and become a problem. As the Trigger is based on the full-size V7 vacuum, we found it to be bulkier than most handheld vacuums. This can make it awkward to use in the tightest locations, although it’s still a great choice for car seats and stairs.

The Dyson V7 Trigger is ideal for use in tight spaces - but it's not powerful enough to be your only vacuum cleaner

How does the V7 Trigger compare to other handheld vacuums though? And is it worth the hefty price tag? Read our Dyson V7 Trigger review to find out. Overview of the Dyson V7 Trigger Handheld Vacuum Cleaner We found that using the mini motorised tools for carpeted steps, then following up with the crevice tool for edges and corners, left our stairs looking spotless. It’s just as effective at cleaning hard floor stairs too. Pet Hair

The V7 Trigger is pretty scarce when it comes to attachments. In the box you'll get the crevice tool for getting down the side of your car seats, and the combination tool, with a wider barrel for larger surface areas and a brush addition for hard surfaces.

There’s an increase in the suction, naturally, with this new vacuum’s stated suction power upgraded to 240 air watts, compared with 185 air watts in the equivalent V11. However, the headline innovations in this model are located in its motorised heads.
