RH stands for relative humidity. Selecting the correct relative humidity is very important when caring for your cigars. It can affect the way that cigars taste, burn and light. Our helpful guide below will help you choose from the five different RH levels. Prevent the wood from robbing your cigar’s essential moisture. (Seasoning raises the wood’s moisture level so it’ll be in equilibrium with your cigars.) At Bespoke Unit, we have had many trial and error run-ins with a plethora of different humidity systems. When we discovered Boveda, we realised that they offered the most simplest and care-free solution. Designed for airtight humidors including but not exclusively for Boveda humidor bags, Boveda acrylic humidors, polymer travel humidor. Works well in high-end humidors including but not exclusively Elie Bleu and Daniel Marshall. Use (1) Boveda Size 60 for every 25 TOTAL cigars your humidor can hold. Example: For a 100-cigar capacity humidor, use four (4) Size 60 Boveda at once.

Designed for most wood humidors. Wood humidors exchange moisture, it is not uncommon to see a decrease of 2–5%RH. The 72% accommodates the moisture loss allowing the humidor to maintain a high 60s RH level. We recommend the 72%RH as your first Boveda in your wooden humidor after seasoning. There are two versions available that are either 75% or 32% RH. You can use the 75% on its own, which will provide to 2.5% accuracy. Meanwhile, you can do the two-point calibration process where you also use the 32%, which brings it to 1.5% accuracy. As we sincerely love Boveda so much, we sought to develop a special relationship with by becoming ambassadors for the brand. Therefore, before detailing the different ways that you can use Boveda for your cigar storage solutions, let us expand on why we believe it’s the best option to use. Boveda Humidors & Hygrometers

To be perfectly honest, you don’t actually need to do anything to begin using Boveda in your humidor. As described above, the product was designed to be simple and without any inconveniences. You may have heard of a salt method for calibrating a humidor where you use a bottle cap filled with salt and water in a container. However, these are actually very inaccurate given that the containers are rarely air-tight, the quantities of salt may vary, and they may have additives. Save the terps with Boveda, the original terpene shield. Protect against mold or overdrying, prevent trichome damage and stop terpene loss. Preserves the aroma, flavor and effectiveness until after the grind. Boveda creates a monolayer of purified water molecules that naturally coats trichomes to shield terpenes and cannabinoids, preserving the smell until use. RH — ONLY use to precondition (or season) a wood humidor WITHOUT cigars in it. This formula is specifically designed to provide moisture directly to the cellular structure of the wood humidor during the seasoning process. Once you’ve seasoned with Boveda, your humidor is primed for your most treasured cigars. Designed for Cuban cigars because Cuban cigars tend to mould at a higher RH level. Keep your Cuban cigars at or lower than 65%RH. This RH is also good for Dominican or Puro cigars due to personal preference or flavour profile.
