I chose this rating because the product works. Helps eliminate misfires caused by dirty injectors. Was getting codes for to lean in one bank and to rich in the other. Engine light on. Cleared codes, used 44K fuel system cleaner and no more engine light or to lean/rich codes.

Cost: BG 44K is on the high side of fuel treatments on the market. I have used others like STP and never felt like it did anything to truly clean the fuel system. I recommend using it every 30,000 miles. Anymore and it is a waste. Unless you are the kind of person that races to work in ten minutes to not be late, on an empty tank, you will be fine with longer use intervals. Lately, I have had some rough idle issues, specifically misfires in cylinder #4. The misfire counts were low with no more than 5 and average of 1 or 2. I put this product in my tank, filled it up with Costco gas, and drove like normal. It has been 1.5 weeks and a half tank since. The misfires at idle are gone. As for the petrol version well we will have to wait and see but my thoughts are that if it was so good for the diesel I very much doubt it will be useless for petrol!
