About this deal

You can play any number of Champion cards from your hand each turn. After you play a Champion from your hand, you may exhaust it to use its effect any time during your turn. To exhaust a champion, turn it sideways to indicate it has been used, then follow the instructions after the word exhaust. Each champion may only be exhausted once per turn. At the end of your turn, reset all Champions you control so they are ready to be used again on your next turn. In Shards of Infinity, you possess an Infinity Shard, an artifact of limitless power, but you aren’t the only one. You have to master your own fragment before your rivals do or destroy them first so that it doesn’t matter. Mercenary Allies that are fast-played count as an Ally played that turn. This means that fast-play Mercenaries can help you meet requirements for Unify and Dominion effects.

It’s time to make a choice: Is it your fate to lead your people to victory or will you become the relic of some forgotten future? Choose wisely. Maybe that’s too strong a word, but the cards are very much of a ‘last stand’ nature – one of them, when Mastery’d up to 20 allows you to banish three cards from your discard pile and use their effects, the other allows you a second turn straight away… but only once a game. In fact, you’d probably only want to use them if you were up against a bigger, badder adversary. Oh look, I’ve found something else in the box… You could certainly argue some thematic intentions to a degree. But the thing is when a game does a good job of connecting its theme and mechanisms, there’s no need to argue. Shards of Infinity simply doesn’t deliver there. Card abilities don’t always make thematic sense.

To deepen the gameplay even more, there is now a third important currency that serves several purposes

To play a card from your hand, place it face up in front of you in your Play Zone. Cards in the Play Zone don't go to your discard pile until the end of your turn.

I have two points to criticize. The overall theme is a really awesome science fantasy theme and the artwork really sells it. But the cards don’t relate the mechanisms and theme all that well. Why does a giant earthen elephant heal me? Why does Kiln Drone have the Inspire ability? Shards of Infinity: Shadow of Salvation társasjáték Kiegészítő 4890 Ft-tól! - 1 üzlet árulja ezt a játékot! Example: If you play Infinity Shard while you have 10 mastery , you gain 3 power instead of 2 power. If you have 20 mastery, you will gain 5 power , and if you have 30 mastery , then you will gain Infinite .Száz évvel ezelőtt a Végtelen gépezet összetört, és valóságot meghajlító szilánkjai elpusztították a világ nagy részét. BGG: Shards of Infinity ( 637. hely / 367. stratégiai hely) vs Star Realms ( 136. hely / 125. stratégiai hely) Now, there are not that many of them but when they do appear they bring both calamity and opportunity. Calamity, because if they make it to the end of the revealing player’s turn, they will take life, cards, Mastery, or a combination of the three. Opportunity, because the player who defeats them (and a player needs to be dishing out at least ten damage to do this) will receive a hefty bonus, be it a chunk of mastery, a free Destiny or a second relic. You can see why they’re rare as they can give a player a somewhat unfair advantage if they have been building up their fighting prowess as opposed to the player who has been working on their mastery game. I think this is a case of ‘test that hypothesis at your leisure’, but it can act as a relief to see them pop up for some players as their tempting bonuses may give them a stay of execution. I Can Get Some… Satisfaction If a card allows you to banish a card from your hand, you may not banish a card that you've already played that turn, as that card is no longer in your hand. Banishing your weaker cards, especially some of your starting cards, allows you to draw powerful cards more often. Arant and Gary have smashed the design of this expansion, with well-designed cards that are once again brought to life by Aaron Nakahara’s excellent art. Relics of the Future is everything I wanted from Shards of Infinity’s first expansion.

Cards with Shields are used to prevent damage to you. These cards will have a on the left side of the card. This is typically how the game goes, with the devil being in the details of exactly how much you can pull off. Fao, however, can double that 20 into a 40. In a scenario like this, that relationship is wildly non-linear. Your defenses are built around the normal damage numbers, so all of that bonus Power just goes directly against your life, which adds up to multiple turns worth of damage all at once. So it is now 2020, and though Shadows of Salvation was released in a limited fashion last year, it is definitely a game of this year, and it’s a bit of a game changer, though the core game remains very much untouched. What was once very much PvP can now be co-operative… very 2020. A Boy and His Doges There is no gameplay difference between the characters, making the immense size of the boards seem even more unnecessary. The cards, however, have excellent artwork. The rulebook is well written, and the game is very easy to learn with simple concepts and iconography.

The developer did a great job of bring Shards of Infinity to iOS plays well on both our phone and tablet. We really hope they add the Relics expansion soon, since it significantly improves an already great game. Shards of Infinity sounds great on paper until you hit the messy bits towards the end. Read our review of Shards of Infinity. Shards of Infinity consists of a bunch of cards and four obnoxiously large character boards with spinner dials built in. While the artwork on the player boards looks undeniably cool, their size feels unnecessary and awkward. They don’t sit flat on the table, and they are a bit unwieldy to handle given how frequently you need to change both dials. The dials are also a bit flimsy with a tendency to tilt at the slightest bump or nudge, which can be frustrating. The player boards are a bit oversized.
