Meet in reserve car park ME7 2XH Water birds on the R. Medway & smaller birds singing in the woodland. Visitor centre + café. Meet at the lighthouse car park, TN29 9NA, for a visit to the beach and observatory. Later to the RSPB reserve, TN29 9PN, for water birds and returning migrants. There are various options for the length of walks, from a minimum of 1.5 miles. Full facilities by the car park, café, toliets etc. Meet at reserve car park ME12 3RW. Wintering wildfowl, raptors, waders and hares in the fields. There is an entry fee and numbers may be limited.

Meet at Sandwich Bay Observatory, CT13 9PF. There will be a small fee to enter the Sandwich Estate taken at the tollgate as you drive in. We will start at the SRC Hanson hide across from the estate (no charges apply) where glossy ibis have been viewed for most of the year. We will then visit the main reserve where we should hopefully see a number of seabirds and wildfowl. Try counting the cormorants! Meet outside the car park off Salt Lane, ME3 7SX. Passage waders, such as whimbrel and sandpipers, with gulls and terns. Insect repellent recommended. Adventures in BIRDING” by Barry Wright. Conservation Officer, Nicole, will talk about the RSPB’s efforts to protect these charming birds both nationally & internationally.THE marden project” by Roy Morris. The villagers & local farmers of Marden in Kent have collaborated to improve habitats around the village to benefit birds such as the Turtle Dove & other wildlife.

The winners will be chosen by the RSPB's team of judges. The three top photos, as chosen by the judges, will also receive the following prizes: BIRDS OF SPRING” by Peter Holden. An illustrated talk to whet our appetites for the imminent Spring breeding season. A social and fun evening not to be taken too seriously, with prizes for section winners.
