Meet at the lighthouse car park, TN29 9NA, for a visit to the beach and observatory. Later to the RSPB reserve, TN29 9PN, for water birds and returning migrants. There are various options for the length of walks, from a minimum of 1.5 miles. Full facilities by the car park, café, toliets etc. Meet at reserve car park ME12 3RW. Wintering wildfowl, raptors, waders and hares in the fields. There is an entry fee and numbers may be limited.

We will start at the SRC Hanson hide across from the estate (no charges apply) where glossy ibis have been viewed for most of the year. The villagers & local farmers of Marden in Kent have collaborated to improve habitats around the village to benefit birds such as the Turtle Dove & other wildlife.
