About this deal

The White Scars bring everything we should expect from a Space Marine chapter, with an excellent Chapter Tactic for a fast, combat-oriented force. They also have a cool character in Kor’sarro Khan and an excellent, striking color scheme. Strengths of the Army The bases are stamped SuperSculpey, painted in a basic stone scheme with Stirland Mud and bits of aquarium flowers or Citadel Creeping Vines washed with Druchii Violet and Carronburg Crimson to tone down the color. The Quetzales Jades live on a deep yet alien jungle world, amidst the ruins of a still-active civilization. Not unlike modern day Guatemala. There are some custom transfers coming for a chapter logo and squad markings, and I plan to expand on their story in a later article.

Apply Khorne Red to details like the crozius arcanum handle and any other red elements you desire. This adds a bold touch of red to your miniature. Slightly off topic, but I think you can achieve similar results with a captain (chapter master specifically) on bike. If you give him the Angel Artifice (which is appropriately named...) you even get toughness 6 out of the deal. You'd have more kitting options that way, though a little less utility. This guy is a beast and a definite contender for a must-take HQ. He is fast, flexible, pretty durable and hard hitting. If you want to run a Chaplain, this is probably the best choice. For the biker Chaplain, I would always take the Master of Sanctity upgrade and the Wise Orator WLT. It just allows you to get so much more punch and reliability out of his Litanies. Use Ushabti Bone to highlight the edges and corners of the parchment parts with thin lines. This adds authenticity to the parchments. Despite our best efforts to split everything, Liam and I did end up with a bit of overlap as there are some things in here that are just too cool not to paint. Liam hopped in and painted up a unit of Eradicators, and I painted up the Judiciar as soon as I’d finished my main commitment. Silent angry dude with a big sword is just too cool not to paint. The Chaplain recites creeds that focus the minds of his brothers to ensure their shots strike true. Ah man. I looove my jump chaplain, but out of these high-mobility options the Primaris Bike does quite overperform by comparison these days given the 3 additional wounds. Especially when you consider than D1 relic! I'm not even looking to build any sort of hyper-competitive list, but given how killy so many things are these days, a 4-wound character dies from a sneeze. And of course it's ridiculous that the biker only costs +10p compared to a jump chaplain - considering you get +3W, +1A, +1T and twin bolt rifle + Absolver instead of just a bolt pistol. Balancing, ahoy? Sure, jump chaplain has additional weapon options, but those come with their own points cost. Sigh. Sounds like I need to buy yet another chaplain* at some point, and my two favorites (jump & terminator) will be further gathering dust for the most part. But I hate basically just hiding with my "heroes" due to fragility, like I pretty much had to do with my Sisters in a small tournament yesterday. Bellowing his hatred of the foe, the Chaplain leads his brothers in the wholesale destruction of the enemy.

Purity seals in Waagh Flesh, Warboss Green, and Skarsnik Green on the wax, with the parchment being Rakarth Flesh and then Ushabti Bone When you select a PSYKER unit to manifest psychic powers, you select one psychic power that unit knows and attempt to manifest it. With the exception of Smite, you cannot attempt to manifest the same psychic power more than once in the same battle round, even with different PSYKER units. The same PSYKER unit cannot attempt to manifest Smite more than once during the same battle round. During the Declare Battle Formations step, for each Leader in your army, if your army also includes one or more of that Leader’s Bodyguard units, you can select one of those Bodyguard units. That Leader will then attach to that Bodyguard unit for the duration of the battle and is said to be leading that unit. Each Bodyguard unit can only have one Leader attached to it. x33 plastic components to assemble the Chaplain on his Raider-pattern bike. The kit also includes both helmeted and unhelmeted heads to allow for customization. To paraphrase the above, the chaplain is in fact a close combat monster. You can set him up alone to rival the damage output of other elite squads. He really can be a monster on his own, or just a guy handing out nice auras. This model knows the Litany of Hate (see below) and one litany from the Litanies of Battle. At the start of the battle round, this model can recite one litany it knows that has not already been recited by a friendly model that battle round. Roll one D6; on a 3+ the recited litany is inspiring and takes effect until the end of that battle round. Use Screaming Skull to paint the Chaplain’s skull helmet and any parchment parts on the armor and bike, such as purity seals or scrolls. Pay attention to detail to make these elements stand out. Captain on Bike [8 PL, 145pts]: Astartes Chainsword, Chapter Command: Chapter Master, Inferno pistol, Rites of War, Teeth of Terra, Warlord My yellow armor is painted fairly simply following a method from The Mighty Brush. I prime in tan, pre-shade with VMA Mud and Rust, add a highlight of Insignia White, then lightly airbrush layers of Medium Yellow over until I’m happy with the vibrance. I do some edge highlights with Phalanx Yellow and a pinwash of AK Paneliner for Sand and Desert to finish up the yellow, after which it gets weathered primarily by sponging Rhinox Hide. We are a small team of Warhammer Enthusiasts and miniature collectors, hoping to support and further promote the hobby.

Against opponents who don't have deathstar units, he can keep handing out buffs and even go solo late game as there will not be a lot that can threaten him and he can solo (or at least tarpit) most units. Highlight the gold details on both the armor and the bike, including emblems, trims, weapons, and ornaments, with Retributor Armour. This adds a touch of regal splendor. Make the metal parts shine by using Stormhost Silver to highlight the edges and corners with thin lines. This creates a metallic gleam. The second is a support build (Bufflain) to enhance the rest of your army. The combo of Canticle of Hate and Litany of Hate will get your units into melee and ensure they hit hard when they get there. Give him the Icon of the Angel and units like Hammernators have an 82% chance of pulling off a charge from Reserves! A veteran of the battlefield and of the sermon, this warlord intones his litanies and galvanises his brothers with every word. Troop: Tactical Squad. Five Models. Every model is equipped with: bolt pistol; boltgun; frag grenades; krak grenades. – 90 pts Our goal is to build upon and consolidate the great work already being done by other community members across various forums, reddit threads, and hobby blogs, and bring together a comprehensive library of all these useful Build Instruction booklets. If the Devastator Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Tactical Doctrine is now active.

Grimadldus, 9 Scout Bikers -- Biker Sergeant with Power Sword (upgraded to Sword of Judgement for S7 AP-3 Dmg3), Strat to give Sergeant +1A/+1W/+1WS, and purchasable Relic to allow the squad to re-roll all to Hits/to Wounds against a selected target. Mighty heroes fight at the forefront of battle. Some CHARACTER units have ‘Leader’ listed on their datasheets. Such CHARACTER units are known as Leaders, and the units they can lead – known as their Bodyguard units – are listed on their datasheet.Still digesting the new BT Codex (which overall is great... well done, GW!), but already several "combos" jump out to me: The Deathwatch utilise a range of specialised bolt shells in many of their weapons. From rounds that douse their targets in acid to hollow shells filled with superheated gas, each type is designed to eliminate specific xenos foes. Each time a unit is selected to shoot, if it contains any models that are equipped with a weapon with this ability, then before you select any targets, each weapon with this ability can fire special-issue ammunition. If any do, select one of the ammunition types below for that weapon; until the end of the phase, each time that weapon is fired, apply the modifiers and abilities associated with that special-issue ammunition:
