The Gro-hush is quite small (it only weighs 107 grams with batteries) and will easily fit in a changing bag or handbag. It has a washable cushion cover made from super soft jersey cotton.
Published on July 26th, 2015 | 1232 Views 0 Review: Gro-hush baby calmer for soothing baby at night it comes with a travel case and washable cover – love this cause I can just throw it in my diaper bag and not worry about spillage etc…The size, light, cover and sound functions make Gro-hush a practical and easy-to-use baby calmer–and the truth is that sometimes anything that can help a new mum get a bit of extra sleep and energy is much appreciated. It would have been great to have come with batteries. I had to find a screwdriver and batteries before I could use it. That's the only thing I could think of to improve this lovely soother. Tested by mum Catherine Jones for the M&B Awards 2016: Getting your child to sleep soundly is the Holy Grail of parenting, but achieving those golden hours of unbroken shut-eye (for you too!) can be a bit of a struggle. This would be even better if you could set the time for longer than 10 minutes as 10 minutes wasn't always quite long enough as when it stopped it was a rush to get it started again before it was too late!

I tried using the grohush during his first week at home and he didn’t respond to it, now he is a couple of weeks older it seems to be taking affect in calming him and we will continue to use it for as long as it will soothe him. It would seem that white noise is something T responds to at the moment, not all babies will respond to this type of calming device but for those that do it’s a fantastic product.This magical cube is known for being used for dementia sufferers and people who struggle to settle to sleep at night as it projects a night scene around the room. We have newborn twins and found they didn't relax to the same sound.One daughter, Jessica, liked the heartbeat and the other, Sophie, the rain. It was great to have such a portable product to use between the two of them.
The swaddle cloth range from American Manufacturer Aden & Anais have been awarded MadeForMums Bronze Award Winner 2017. That will have to wait though until baby comes, so for now, I’m testing out the features and looking forward to using it in the spring. We put the grohush to the test with baby T over the weekend during an attempt to take some nice photos of baby boy to share with family, T decided he’d had enough and boy did he let us know about it! When the boy was a baby over 3 years ago, sleep time was a massive source of anxiety for me. I’d not had much experience of babies and I certainly wasn’t prepared for how little sleep was involved. Other people had warned me but I never really knew what sleep deprivation was like until I had a baby! The worse piece of advice ever given to me was “Sleep when the baby sleeps” the volume is preset at a safe level of 75 decibels, so no worries about it affecting your little one’s hearingI’m one of those parents who first the first 6 months of my baby’s life, never left the house without a white noise device of some kind. My baby was – um – spirited, I guess you can call it? You can bet I’d find myself in line at the grocery store or out for a walk with other mom friends and their babes, and who’s baby would be shrieking at the top of her lungs? Mine.

I love that it’s so easy to use, that it comes with a case and the amazing fact that you can play white noise that ONLY your baby can hear and that will not get drowned by other noises. Perfect for settling your baby in a noisy and busy environment. I didn’t even need to read the instructions to see how it worked. There are a choice of three sounds, white noise, heartbeat and rain on a tin roof. Once the button is pressed the relevant button is illuminated by a gentle white light and the sounds begins playing, once pressed the sound then continues for 10 minutes before stopping and the unit turns off.
