It might seem counterintuitive to exfoliate once you’ve self-tanned, but it will help your faux glow fade more evenly and naturally. Wait for a few days after tanning, then exfoliate gently approximately every three days. I tried the medium shade foam, and I left it on overnight. When I showered it off the next morning, I had a medium tan that looked nice, but it wasn’t anything special. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my tan kept darkening even after I showered it off. A day after I showered it off, my tan was a medium to dark shade and it looked very rich and brown. We do suggest following these simple steps to avoid any fake tan disasters - as nobody wants streaky legs or stained palms. The brand states it can be rinsed off after two hours for a light glow, but left overnight for a deeper and longer-lasting tan. We did the letter, and found it didn't stain our bedsheets (result!) and was easy to rinse off any excess the morning after with warm, soapy water. Pros/Reasons to buy: Affordable, isn't streaky, smells delicious, gives a beautiful, natural glow – and doesn't turn you orange. According to Coco & Eve, the reason its Bali Bronzing Foam has a grey-green base is because it works to even out skin pigmentation. We have pinky skin, so the Medium shade was ideal for us as the green tints worked with our skin type, giving us an all-over, even and natural-looking glow. Coco & Eve’s Bounce Body Mask will tone and sculpt the skin, resulting in less stretch marks and cellulite overall. It’s great for the bum, thighs, stomach, or any areas where you want to see a natural glow and more firmness.

Remember though, fake tan does not replace the use of sunscreen, so double up and enjoy the sun with some perfectly bronzed pins! Once you’ve tanned it’s time to think about maintenance. Which means lathering on a body lotion every day to maintain hydration and prolong your glow. It’s also best to avoid chlorinated pools and hot tubs – but don’t spoil your vacay over it!
