About this deal

The sun drops into the ocean and splashes browns and reds and yellows and oranges into the world outside my window. A million leaves from a hundred different branches dip in the wind, fluttering with the false promise of flight. The gust catches their withered wings only to force them downward, forgotten, left to be trampled by the soldiers stationed just below. Unravel Me” (2013) by Tahereh Mafi is a breathtaking sequel that intensifies the “Shatter Me” series to new heights. In this thrilling installment, Juliette’s world expands as she grapples with her growing power and the responsibilities that come with it. Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me series has sold more than a million books. It’s a YA dystopian series centering around a girl named Juliette. Juliette has a very unique power in that anyone she touches dies.

You are so beautiful,” I say, unable to shed the awe in my voice. I hear it, the childish wonder in my tone, and it embarrasses me more than it should. I know I shouldn’t be ashamed to feel deeply. To be moved. She closes the distance between us and twines her arms around me, freeing me from my momentary paralysis. My heart beats faster with her here, so close. And though I don’t know how she knew that I suddenly required the reassurance of her touch, I’m grateful. I exhale, pulling her fully against me, our bodies relaxing, remembering each other. It is revealed that Kenji is a member of the Rebellion against the Reestablishment, called Omega Point. Adam, Juliette, and James are recruited by, and then join the Rebellion. I’d say it would be okay to give this b0ok to a mature 13-year-old. Although it is technically classified as YA, there is no age restriction on who can enjoy YA books — I’ve loved the Shatter Me series well into adulthood, and so have many others. Tahereh Mafi’s Other BooksIgnite Me: Best book of the Series so far. Get Yourself a Kenji. Warner MVP! Adam.. we're cool, you should date Alia. Lots of Goosebump moments. At long last, Warner and Juliette’s future together is within reach, but the world continues to try to pull them apart. Will they finally be able to be happily, officially, together?

I am baffled by the fact that people find their relationship romantic. I am deeply saddened by the fact that "broken" characters somehow are given the okay to horrifically damage their partners in the name of love. As if the fact that they love this person makes it okay that they hurt them in these ways.Of her inspirations for the work, Mafi has stated that she drew inspiration from "an interest in human nature and [humanity's] ability to overcome great obstacles". [3] Plot [ edit ] Ignite Me is my fave from the series. That LYHFML from Aaron 😶‍🌫️ is so wild I almost screamed while reading it (I only screamed internally). That book is a chef's kiss. 😗🤌❣️Believe Me is the novella that I love (should I even explain it?). It made me smile the whole time of reading that novella to the point that my lips almost ripped out of my face. 🫠 As the consequences of past choices come to fruition, Juliette and her companions must confront their darkest fears and make unimaginable sacrifices. Mafi’s evocative prose captures the depths of their pain, love, and resilience, as they navigate treacherous landscapes of power and betrayal.

i knew he’d be close to crying when he saw juliette walking down the aisle. and this novella confirmed that kenji and warner are besties🥺 As the stakes rise and the world hangs in the balance, Juliette must confront her own inner demons and make difficult choices that will shape the future of her world. Mafi’s mesmerizing prose captures the raw emotions, sacrifice, and resilience of the characters, as they navigate the treacherous path towards freedom.I've noticed Mafi is the type of author that could write a whole chapter describing a character's feelings. It's not a bad thing but there are times when I feel like some of those are unnecessary (I swear I do not mean it in a bad way). I still love her.
