Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab Active in the second half of 2019 with Android 9 Pie on board. It received the Android 10 update in 2020 and the Android 11 update in 2021. No Battery Mode needs to be turned on and requires a dedicated USB Type-C power source accessory supporting 9V and 2.3A or above and PD 2.0 or above. No Battery Mode limits device CPU performance when enabled and reduces maximum volume, display brightness, etc., when enabled.

As for the display, the Galaxy Tab S8 has the obvious edge here. Both have standard LCDs — a step down from the rich-color AMOLED displays of the Tab S8+ and Ultra — but the Tab S8 has a solid 50 pixels per inch more than the Active4 Pro, as well as an ultra-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Still, the Galaxy Tab S8 is the clear winner for both casual streaming and everyday productivity, since 120Hz scrolling (and the faster processor) makes a major difference in avoiding a stuttery experience. Both of these Galaxy tablets displays support the S Pen and come with the stylus out of the box. We know that the Galaxy Tab S8 has an impressively low 6.2ms latency between touch and reaction; Samsung didn't specify the latency for the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro, but its marketing materials say "near-zero latency" and that it reduced the latency compared to the original Active Pro, so there probably isn't a noticeable difference. Tablets are generally not known for their camera quality, and this is often even less important in outdoor tablets, since they are either used in a business environment where image quality is not crucial or the budget is limited due to the emphasis placed on case robustness. In business tablets, operation is a very important aspect: the conditions for a touchscreen are often not ideal or you work with protective clothing. The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is easy to operate even when the display is wet, and since you can adjust the sensitivity of the touchscreen, even gloves do not pose an issue.Combining military-grade toughness, lightweight portability and exceptional performance, the versatile Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro withstands harsh conditions for use out in the field or frontline

The new Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro will be available starting September in parts of Europe, with availability in Asia, Latin America, North America and the Middle East to follow later in 2022. While we've heard the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 may have water resistance, this is still an incredibly rare feature that a certain type of user will appreciate.typical) refers to the typical value of the battery capacity as tested under internal lab conditions. Typical value is the estimated average value considering deviation in battery capacity among the battery samples tested under IEC 61960 standard. Rated (minimum) capacity is 4,900mAh. Actual battery life may vary depending on network environment, usage patterns, and other factors. Samsung has developed the Galaxy Tab Active Pro for use in rough conditions. Thanks to its IP68 certification, the 10.1-inch tablet should be resistant to dust and water. The device is made even more robust thanks to the protective cover that comes included. This creates an additional protective frame around the case, can hold the S Pen (also included), and is supposed to protect the tablet when being dropped from up to 1.2 meters (~3.9 feet). For jobs that take workers out of the field and into the office, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro can easily be connected to an external display 19 through Samsung DeX 20 or used in Standalone Mode to emulate a desktop interface on the tablet. Memory size - User memory is less than the total memory due to storage of the operating system and software used to operate the tablet features.

Availability of One UI features, apps and services may vary depending on One UI version, OS version and market.Fast charging requires a power adapter providing electric power of 15W or above. Fast charge power adapter may not be provided in the box (and sold separately) depending on market. Otherwise, aside from it being one of the best-rugged tablets out there, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro has specific software and tools that make it geared for outdoor and enterprise use. In terms of durability, the Active4 Pro is MIL-STD-810H compliant. What does that mean in practice? Samsung says it survived being "dropped 26 times from 5 feet onto plywood," can withstand temperatures from −40º F to 176º F, and can ignore "harsh rain, salt spray, and solar radiation." You can even take it up to 15,000 feet if that's the kind of life you lead. Samsung DeX wired connection is available via HDMI compatible display. Wireless connection is available on Smart TVs that support Phone Screen mirroring only. For optimal experience, use on Samsung Smart TVs launched in 2019 or later.
