Description

Using Alpecin Dandruff Killer on a daily basis, the shampoo relieves scalp irritations, builds up a smooth scalp surface and restores the scalps natural balance. Salicylic Acid and Fumaric Acid: These two active ingredients are mild acids that loosen the crusty build up you get from dandruff. The thinking behind this is that it makes existing dandruff easier to wash away. Helping to increase the penetration of the antifungals. Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-3 Distearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Butylene Glycol, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Chloride, Fumaric Acid, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Panthenol, Sodium Hydroxide, Piroctone Olamine, Sodium Citrate, Polyquaternium-7, Allantoin, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, Propylene Glycol, Caffeine, Menthol, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Citric Acid, Tocopherol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Parfum, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, CI 42090.

Alpecin’s Dandruff Killer Shampoo comes with four active ingredients to relieve your scalp from dandruff and its unpleasant consequences. The use of 5 active ingredients seems like overkill to me also. I personally prefer the less is more approach by using a single active ingredient shampoo with precision. Two of these ingredients are acids which I personally advise anyone to use sparingly. With these ingredients and allergens, I can’t see how the company can advise that the shampoo can be used daily. I wouldn’t. However, it’s no doubt effective to blitz your scalp like this. Alpecin is the blunderbuss of dandruff shampoos! There are a lot of claims that caffeine is an effective treatment for male pattern baldness – but is it fact or fiction?Selenium Sulfide: Selenium sulfide is an antifungal that can slow down the overgrowth of yeast on your scalp and skin. Some products contain both selenium sulfide and zinc pyrithione. It can be a little harsher than zinc pyrithione, though, so it's best to start slow by using the product only a couple of times per week at first (then building up from there), keeping an eye out for skin irritation. Use Alpecin Dandruff Killer every day. Distribute a walnut-sized amount evenly through wet hair and massage in. Rinse immediately afterwards. Alpecin Dandruff Killer comes without any softening silicones.

Caffeine-based shampoos have become quite popular recently over the long-held belief that they can help stimulate hair growth, strengthen fine and weakened hair, and prevent further thinning. Alpecin shampoo is one of the most well-known on the market specializing in caffeine-based hair care products. It contains a special purple pigment that helps prevent the discoloration or yellowing of hair. Using the shampoo daily can create a slight purple hue on hair – only use it every fourth wash.

Anti-Dandruff Shampoo for flaky scalps

to 4.7 stars: These shampoos for seborrheic dermatitis are excellent—they might have minor flaws, but we still recommend them. Well, the jury is still out. Lab studies are showing promising results, but without in-depth world studies, we can’t say its effectiveness for sure. There is no clinically viable evidence – yet. We got you. Also try our Alpecin Double Effect Shampoo, which effectively removes dandruff while providing caffeine to your hair roots. This will help to prevent hereditary hair loss. Application: It should only be used for grey or white hair. For white hair, use every fourth wash. Other products to consider Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride may sound terrifying but it is actually a very gentle conditioner. So gentle that it’s approved for use in ECOCERT Certified cosmetics. The company have also added Vitamin C which helps removes chlorine as you wash. Vitamin E is added as it makes a great preservative.

Zinc Pyrithione: The former darling of dandruff shampoos. The active ingredient is ten a penny in the cheapest own brand dollar store generic shampoos and, weirdly, high-end dandruff shampoos. This ingredient is also an antifungal agent although not as strong as Piroctone Olamine.
