About this deal

But like any guidebook this is a book you can come back to time and time again and still find something new. Written in Miss Peregrine’s inimitable style, it’s also a dramatic expansion of the universe fans have already come to love, introducing countless new peculiars, enemies, time loops, stories, and secrets, in addition to hundreds of never-before-seen vintage found photographs and select illustrations. zapravo su upravo fotografije to što mi je zaokupilo najviše pažnje, poneke sam gledala duže nego što bih čitala stranicu. I love a good guidebook as much as anyone who’s as obsessed with world building as I am, and this one was really fun!

If you have already read the series and want a fun fast read to just dip a toe back in this world and get some more fun old timey photos in the process, this is FOR YOU. Ransom Riggs grew up in Maryland and Florida and is a graduate of the film school at the University of Southern California. There is a lot of lore found such as the type of peculiars we’ve seen in the series, how they lived and there are even some personal stories and interesting facts. It is perfect for people who are very familiar with the series and want to check back in with the world. od svojeg hobija -skupljanja starih i čudnovatih fotografija po buvljacima- riggs je napravio dobar i, vjerujem, unosan posao. There was all of the nitty gritty details I love about world building (and had wanted a bit more about in the actual series) in this book, so if you enjoyed the series at least a little bit and are a fan of world building, I’d encourage checking this out. Lots of pictures, drawings, maps and even texts by various people make this book so great and things like the "what loop should you choose" made it so great.

This book doesn’t provide too much new information and it doesn’t add on to the plot of the main series. As such it does not read linearly but rather as a series of articles covering a wide range of topics. I loved the Miss Peregrine's series and often felt that each sequel was like coming back to old friends and while this isn't quite the same, it delved back into that peculiar world and gave us MORE peculiar characters, people, places, et cetera.

Covering history, practices, memorable characters and much more, this immersive companion to Ransom Riggs' bestselling Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series is an absolute must-have for passionate fans. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. This article covers a subject that is part of the real world, and thus should not be taken as a part of the Peculiar Children universe. Some of my other favorite parts (though they were brief) were the pages mentioning famous peculiars that include some famous people from the real world, as well as the section that describes why photographs are so important to peculiars. Probably only of interest to fans of the series, it's an entertaining look at the world created by Riggs. It’s a really quick read and just fun all around, even if the original series wasn’t your absolute favorite.
