There were a few statements near the beginning I didn’t agree with about God’s sovereignty vs freewill of man, but I didn’t notice any more of that the rest of the book…so maybe I misunderstood the author. This book walks through the book of Daniel, along with stories from the life of the author and her friends.

In the midst of so many problems and heartaches and anything else that you can conjure up in your mind, God is still a good God and He always knows what He is doing. If you are familiar with Daniel, you know there is a lot of prophecy and imagery that can be very difficult to understand. It will give you a tiny glimpse into how God is always working behind the scenes and His rule and ways will always come to pass. By walking through the book of Daniel, we learn about the prominence of this theme through the book, as well as the consequences when even the mightiest of earthly rulers choose to ignore Heaven’s rule.But two simple words can quiet them, calm our fears, comfort our hearts, and give us courage to press Heaven Rules! With these powerful and biblical sound teaching at the forefront, this is a book that I highly recommend. Being counted as among the people of God does not exempt us from the ordeals of living in a sinful, fallen world or from the rising floods that flow from it in all directions. Coming out of my hardest year yet, I really needed the reminder that no amount of anxiety and panic is going to "fix" the situation. This book is inspirational, as it challenges its readers to use “Heaven rules” as the lens through which they view and interact with the world.
