About this deal

Use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons to agree or disagree that the title is similar to Game of Thrones. It also appears that all of the “hidden Dragon Eggs” content is still included, it’s just not hidden anymore (deleted scenes and the like).

That HDR10 and Dolby Vision works wonders with these colors, bring them new life in a more realistic transfer this time around. I had gotten the Season 1 HDR release used for around 20 bucks a cupole of years ago and thought that is was a definite improvement over the Blu-ray set.Low Frequency Extension: The LFE channel is always quite busy thanks to the sweeping score and drums employed throughout. For Season One the captured image was recorded on HDCAM SR videotape using a tape-based workflow, with color correction done on set. Then I ended up watching all ten episodes in a single sitting, and became a loyal viewer for the remainder of the series’ run.

It’s easy to forget now, but Game of Thrones was the first hour-long HBO drama to be captured entirely digitally. The important takeaway here is that HBO’s Ultra HD release absolutely improves upon the Blu-ray viewing experience.

Despite it all though nothing ever gets lost in the translation of the mix here including the dialogue thanks to the discreteness of it all. Like in Season 8 there were moments in the crypt for example that were overly deep and inky compared to the moments outside. identical to that I detailed in our Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection 4K Blu-ray review of the wide release.
