About this deal

Ellyssa and his best friend, Woody, go on a rescue mission and bring the whole Center down in the process. But even though she is a soldier she has this insane vulnerability that you don't see in other books. Framed from an artist’s perspective and spanning a diverse range of artworks that question how these ideas shape our personal identities and our social and political systems, On Perfection considers the multifaceted nature of lens-based practices. I really enjoyed experiencing all the different emotions that Ellyssa was feeling for the first time; anger, distrust, love, happiness, laughter, betrayal, etc. I believe this is going to be a more prominent part of the story inthe sequel, and maybe we'll find out more about Woody, which will make him different from Rein, and maybe then I can pick a team.

In The Idea of Perfection, Grenville, winner of Britain’s prestigious Orange Prize, brings her discerning knowledge of human strengths and frailties to bear upon a pair of unlikely soul mates. In the modern world, a gym can be sort of a religious space where the faithful travel to a separate building, wear special clothes, eat special food, and take part in shared rituals that are performed with complete absorption and dedication. She doesn't know what happens to him, but she has been restless for awhile, knowing that things aren't quite what they seem. Thus, failure to succeed is figured as personal rather than a result of an unequal societal structure. I loved going along for the ride that was Perfection and anyone who loves a good dystopian need to pick this one up.

He is the author of several crime novels that feature characters ranging from a modern private eye to Houdini, Arthur Conan Doyle, Ernest Hemingway, and Adolf Hitler, to name just a few. Born in Sydney, Australia, in 1950, Kate Grenville holds degrees from the University of Sydney and the University of Colorado. The second book, Flawed, has been released, and it will be interesting to see how if the book lives up to it's name, or if it surprises me by instead pulling the pieces together to answer the questions/issues listed in the first novel.
