From what I do smell, I primarily get spun sugar with a hint of vanilla and a bunch of synthetic coconut. I highly recommend the original friction perfume though Its one of the best budget perfumes I have bought and its a new must have for me.

The tropical vibe is of course juicy coconut, the sharpness must be the hint of sandalwood making it smell fresh and clean. Very Pina Colada with the Pineapple note shining through from first spray to Drydown, the coconut leans the furthest in the back for me with the florals coming through strong with the pineapple. On my skin this opens with the honey suckle and apple blossom with the coconut lurking in the background definitely making its presence known, as the scent evolves the Coconut comes out in full force playing with the Vanilla and spun sugar with the apple blossom playing in the background and the cherry peeking through.On me, it smells like a warm floral - I can pick up on the vanilla and amber, but a lot of the tropical notes are lost and I'm left with a generic, sweet-smelling, floral perfume. It's the kind of fragrance that I imagine would smell even better on skin during balmy, summer nights. Smells a lot like Diesel Zero plus to my nose and the red berries-vanilla thing is reminiscent of Deep Red so if you are fan you must try this one it is oh so affordable!

I like fragrances that are comfortable and casual but it's hard to find ones that aren't over done or smell overly synthetic. I was expecting coconut, vanilla, a hint of fruits, but all I've got was a cheap fruity smell that reminds me either of an air freshener or candy.True, it is a very subtle drydown, but we deal with some serious heat and humidity and I appreciate the light, breezy, yet still quite feminine qualities of Friction. Just a non descript pleasant easy reach sweet, creamy scent, perfect for summer and I imagine will be good too layer with.

I was expecting a huge dose of coconut from all the recommendations, so I'm a bit sad that I don't get it like I had hoped.However, I'm extremely unlucky with wood notes in fragrances especially sandalwood as it tends to pull too strong on my skin. After an hour, the sharpness of the coconut starts to mellow out, the red berries are gone (thank God) and the vanilla really starts to dance with musk.

So I'm happy she gets to wear it instead of me, because now I can smell her from time to time and still enjoy this frag.This perfume doesn't last very long at all, maybe 2-3 hours at most, which is a shame and it's the main thing that lets it down for me. FCUK Friction Pulse Her Eau De Parfum (100ml) is a refreshing, warm perfume for women from the world-renowned British fashion brand. If you want an idea of what this smells like, imagine pink chiffon from bath and body works and add coconut. Setting wise, this works for the casual girl, but could easily be worn for a night out (especially in the warmer seasons) but is pretty and light enough that it suits an office too. It gives Friction an extra fruity note, and makes it more fresh and summery and all the annoying notes from Minajesty disappear.
