Optimal technique: turn the oven off after 15-20 mins and leave the sculpture in the oven to cool and cure.

The fastest and most effective way to dry Creative Paperclay (and it can be applied to similar clays, such as La Doll), is actually to bake it in a standard oven. The DAS air drying modelling clay 1kg white is a fine and even self-hardening modelling clay that requires no baking, and can be used with wood, cardboard and terracotta. Also cracking and loss of detail can be an issue at times with shrinkage (10-15%), but that can be said for most air drying clay products. It is also only possible to bake a sculpture if you have NOT used things such as Styrofoam as your armature materials. Don't expect it to hold fine detail well and expect the texture to be a bit weird/off putting if you are new to using it.
