Description

Books in the series are credited to fictional authors such as Dr Ernest Drake, a member of the Secret and Ancient Society of Dragonologists, and the author of the series' first book, Dragonology: The Complete Book of Dragons. We are experiencing delays with deliveries to many countries, but in most cases local services have now resumed. The front cover has a beautiful dragon embossed in metallic red that shimmers when the light hits it (I've tried to show that in one of the pictures below but it's really hard to capture in a photo) and it's even embedded with three small green gemstones. Ernest Drake on the dragons of the world, their biology, behavior, and history of their interactions with humans. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and there are loads of little extras like fold out maps, flaps to look under, secret codes and even stroke-able textured skin samples with added glitter and sparkle. I do believe an Ology competitor sprung up after the initial success of the Dragon and Egypt Ologies. But there is the Dragonology collection of books which includes Dragonology: Tracking and Taming Dragons: A Guide for Beginners Vol 1. Helen Ward (Illustrator) Helen Ward trained at Brighton School of Art, under the direction of well-known children's illustrators such as Raymond Briggs, Justin Todd and Chris McEwan.

Ernest Drake is presented in all its eccentric glory, happily bridging the gap between dragon legend and fact. However while these are authored by Dugald Steer, other than Monsterology: The Complete Book of Fabulous Beasts, [5] they do not have anything to do with Dragonology or Dr.
