About this deal
Seeing the name of the author you would expect this book to feature ballroom dancing, and you would be correct. Raymond de Guise and Nancy’s relationship develops in what could have been a hug of a love story, but by the end I couldn’t muster any care for either of them. Anton Du Beke - the King of Ballroom, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ royalty, and household name - is truly making his mark as one of this generation’s all-round entertainers. I appreciate that her dreams are as important as his -- but actually in those days, she wouldn't have thought so.
She is sick and tired of this mundane whirl of frivolity which she must endure every single blasted day.I admit to reading the first chapter in Anton's voice but soon got over my adoration and enjoyed the book for its own merits.
The staff and guests of the Buckingham soon discover that in a hotel full of secrets, there’s always someone listening .This is a mix of romance, dance and political intrigue, with strong contrasts between the upper and lower classes of society. As society in London and internationally struggles to come to terms with potential disaster, the other side of London life is revealed.
