I’m not against journey books, but things still have to happen along the way in terms of both character development and plot to keep me invested. With few options and even fewer allies, they have both united to achieve their lofty goals: find the fabled Knife of Memory, kill they tyrant king, and then bring peace to the nation.

They will make new enemies and friends as well as running into past ones, but in the end it will come down to how much Ren and Cas are willing to give up because the Knife of Memory requires a sacrifice, one that neither want to pay.
