Starting out as farm buildings, crofts and, in The Gin Bothy's case, a smiddy - or blacksmith’s forge - Scotland’s bothies have long had a deep connection with the land.

They source local ingredients such as scottish berries, rhubarb and other ingredients used in their spirits. For a longer drink, take 25cl of Gunshot and serve with 50cl of a premium ginger ale and add a slice of orange to bring out the citrus notes.
