For more than three centuries cognac has been recognised as the finest of all spirits distilled from grapes. Despite what you might think, Champagne Cognac is not made from Champagne, in the region of Champagne, nor from the grapes used to make Champagne.

When the word Champagne is used on a Cognac, it will either be preceded by the word, Grande, Petite, or Fine. Today, it continues to hold its place as one of the best amongst cognac connoisseurs all over the world. Remy Martin is renowned as a specialist in Fine Champagne Cognac which must be composed of at least 50% Grand Champagne, with this expression holding the honour of being the biggest-selling VSOP cognac worldwide.

A register in their archives proves this name was used from 1820, and the first legal texts protecting the places' names date back to 1824. It is here that the Voyer family have distilled their wines since 1870, producing smooth, elegant and haunting Cognacs from an exceptional terroir in an exceptional region.
