About this deal

It includes a star-studded cast of characters including Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Chewbacca who have to try and destroy the imperial bunker with the help of Ewoks Wicket, Chief Chirpa, and Paploo.

The walking function isn t very easy to describe, so I just link to a video from Toy Fair 2009 that shows it "walking". Some LEGO® sets contain small parts that are NOT suitable for and may pose a hazard to children under 3 years of age. His grey body also sets him apart from his 2 other junior Ewoks, Paploo and Wicket, who are predominantly brown in color.I made no secret of my liking of those well-deisgned handlebars, which are very posable for the Trooper to grab while riding. By the way, there are 2 of this Scout Trooper included in this set, and each has their own ride in the form of the Scout Bike. Playability: 9/10 The walking function of the ST is more than useless and I really miss imperial reinforcements. I doubt you really want to look at a bunch of polybags, so let's just proceed to the parts, shall we?

The primitive armory of the Ewoks include a catapult and 4 stone ammunition in the form of 2X2 round grey bricks. Lots of dark green and dark gray, a hint of orange, and just the sheer variety of pieces make this a delightful set. To make it more impressive, the AT-ST is a top-heavy vehicle and that makes balancing even more challenging.

Lesson learnt: find somewhere well lit (with white lights instead of warm lights) when building this set. What disappointed me was they did not put C3PO into the set when he should've been in it cause he featured in the battle of endor.

I believe that the torsos are exclusive to this set, and I haven't seen the head of the guy on the left anywhere, so I assume that it's new. Before I get too complimentary with my remarks on Ewoks' armory, the glider kind of brought me back to earth. I really like the newly designed AT-ST and it will be a chance to finally get one (don't have one of the many 5 or so ). The base is very nice, pity of the doors, but it looks very good with all that dark green and the big evil base computerscreens. I understand your point about wanting more Imperials, but if adding stormtroopers (which we've had plenty of opportunities to get) would have meant fewer Ewoks/Commandos in this set, I'm glad the bad guys are outnumbered.Yes, the AT-ST needs a bit of a leg redesign and some greebling, but it's a good start on one that walks. Han is the same as always, and Chewbacca as well; however, the last three Chewbaccas I received had no eye-printing- that's the results of a marker, there. You want to add the Lego set 8038 The Battle of Endor to your Lego Star Wars collection or to make a gift to your child without spending all your money?

To simulate the exploding end of the bunker, a pair of push buttons are installed on the roof of the entrance. Purchasing from the above links may result in a commission being paid to Rebrickable, but at no extra cost to you. It does carry a few pieces of rocks too for ariel bombardment but deploying those rocks is not an easy task. Also the bunker could have been better with a normal brick wall and a sticker of the death star or Han in AT-ST driver uniform. And sure, we could say the set would be better if TLC added two stormies to the lineup, but the set already has 12 figures. Back in 2009, I guess double sided head piece is not the "in" thing yet so there is no alternative expression for Han. On the forest moon of Endor, a brave team of Rebels joins forces with a fierce tribe of Ewok warriors.
