Everyone is geared up in diver suits, but having a very old submarine means sharing the same oxygen tank.

Green panics and drops their treasure, to ensure they're not using up any oxygen and so that they can travel faster than the rest of us. I’m especially fond of the theme, as there are (to be fair, an increasing number) not many submarine-themed games that I can think of, offhand, and unique themes always have a nice place in my game library.Contents: 2 Special Dice; 6 Explorer Pieces; 48 Artifact Chips; 1 Submarine Board; 1 Air Marker; Instruction Manual. Everyone may want to take their time, dive down deep, and get a big prize, but as soon as someone takes anything, the race is on.

Once a player is carrying treasure, their movement is slowed by one point for each treasure they carry. As you might also guess, you’d like to be able to move, otherwise you’re just dooming yourself to a watery grave. When one player is carrying 3 and another player carrying 1, the player with less is really having to consider whether to get their 1 back safe or try to stop both players. Just FYI: the new aspects to Zoo Vadis (unique powers and peacocks) were added in (bolted on) by the good doctor himself.

With this game, it's all about tactical decision-making - dive too deep, and you might not have enough air to reach the surface; or stay near the surface and settle for the less valuable treasure. Being too conservative actually aids the other players, and playing high risk is generally bad for everyone but especially bad for you. Oliver Kinne aims to publish two new articles every week on his blog, Tabletop Games Blog, and also release both in podcast form. The small box contains a submarine, a marker for air, 6 player pieces and several ruin chips (treasure) tokens and markers. Which player will be reckless enough to endanger the lives of their peers in a bid to win the most treasure?

I'm looking to add a push-your-luck that has dice to my collection, since I have too few dice in my games and no game that involves these mechanic.Attack the Oxygen; The strategy if you are too far out is to switch to drawing oxygen down and making sure all players drown rather than the player near the front getting back with 2-3 treasures and you maybe not making it. Also if you look at that gamefound, it's easy to be deceived---the actual gameplay portions are not cheap but aren't over the top expensive. Compounding the impending doom is the fact that your movement is slowed down for each piece of treasure you hold. A group of adventurers have banded together on a submarine to try and gather the treasures that sleep at the bottom of the sea.

Now, remove all the blank tokens from the path and compress it so it’s contiguous, and then start a new round. Every game of Deep Sea Adventure we have played has been exciting, captivating, and definitely tense! It’s hard to find the sweet spot in between, and rare that all players can manage it in a single game. Sometimes this falls shorts and the nearer player can make it back with something, but at least they couldn’t take more!

Domestika on using python to do generative art and then realized the whole thing was in Portugese with subtitles. The bigger problem for you is, that your dice rolls get one pip deducted for every treasure you have. It’s not obvious the dice are d3’s, and a lot of people I’ve played with have been surprised to discover this after a few rolls. The hidden scoring on each of the level chips means you do quite know how many points others have on each round.
