I don't get that with absolu, it opens up sweet, it still has a little bit of that powderyness but no where as good as profumo is. I think this unassuming all-purpose expertly-crafted Code has been overlooked and maligned by those expecting it to be a loud heavy powerhouse.

The clary sage changes the freshness from citrus fresh (that initial dose of bergamot) to something more herbal fresh. The iconic scent of seduction now reaches an intense heat, inspired by the sharp sophistication of a Giorgio Armani tuxedo. As I always say my skin does not really agree with fragrances it burns them fairly quick and yet this bad boy is nuclear. But if you're looking for that scent which will just be an overall great everyday reach, this might be it.Armani Code Profumo Eau de Parfum is a dynamic yet mysterious fragrance that creates an extremely attractive aura around you. I am not very deep into my fragrance journey, I own about 30 frags, and have dove deep in the past 3 months.

Opens up fresh Sweet with the apple and then becomes ambery tonka with touches of leather to refine the whole scent. The opening does not last very long, and that’s okay because the dry down is where this fragrance shines.Armani describes this fragrance as “strong yet sensitive”, and I couldn’t agree with their description more. It's a solid choice for a date or night out scent for a refined urban professional guy in his late 20s or early 30s.

However, always funny to read the reviews about certain fragrances and their performance according to some people. I’ve only had one spray on my arm, but every now and then I get a whiff of a warm amber scent and I get hypnotized 😍. I picked up my second bottle of this fragrance a few days ago after not having it in my collection for 2 years. But not the teeny-sweet like the one million or the fresh sweet of the Eros or the bubblegummy sweet of the Ultramale.This could easily be a staple in your office scent rotation during autumn, winter and the cooler spring days. It’s dialed away from the milquetoast profile of the original Code, and it’s invigorated with a fresher approach.

It has the same boozy type of leather that is very prominent in Absolu, which makes both of them non-starter for me. It was much more fresh off the top and although I can smell the old DNA it lacked the warmth and originality of the og dry down. Anyways, my first ever impression(while smelling from atomizer without spraying yet) was that this smelt so similar to JPG Le male le Parfum, but further testing revealed this to be not so similar, more like a distant cousin; fresher and more versatile. Projection is good but not excellent, with this scent profile, I think it will perform well on longevity, EDIT: the longevity is awesome, more than 8hrs and +.

I've got at least a half dozen scents that are somewhat interchangeable with this one, but it is a damn fine scent, and discontinuing it was just stupid. Ive had Armani Code Parfum for a while but yet for some reason, I never really spent much time to process it's scent profile. This Parfum is better than the earlier EDP for me, as the EDP has a slightly jarring pineapple note in the drydown.
